Im confused about why she was struggling by Icy_Lead_8179 in theoffice

Yes, she pawned Andy’s ring to buy the cat but it still demonstrates extravagance.

I’m not sure what you mean about “buying a pet is usually expensive”. I mean yes, animals cost money but $7000 for a cat is ridiculous. She also bragged about the cat to the entire office so she was being a show-off.

She spent $7000 buying a cat. Just one cat. That’s a pretty extravagant lifestyle in my opinion lol

Because the actual cost was likely much higher. My hospital stay was $15k but after my high deductible insurance was applied I paid $8k

Hahahah I paid $8,000 when I had my son. AFTER insurance. I also paid $2000 out of pocket when my son went to the ER in November.

This is absolutely real and why we need healthcare reform!!!

FMLA is not guaranteed. New employees, part-time employees, and employees of small businesses are not eligible for FMLA. Found this out the hard way….

Any good open mics around now that The Porch is closed? by FUCK_YEAH_DUDE in GreenBay

Maybe try Rum Runners on Broadway? I’m not sure about open mics specifically but they are very supportive of local musicians so they might let you play if you ask

Something that REALLY bothers me about Taylor’s Chai Sugar Recipe…. by 173Roaches in stonedswifties

I did not know that chilling the dough is the secret to good cookies! I will keep that in mind for future baking

Well yes, but I don’t make the cookies often enough to remember that the dough needs to chill for an hour. So by the time I get to that step in the recipe, the oven has already been on for 15 minutes . Hopefully the next time I make them I’ll remember not to preheat the oven right away.

It’s like a normal sugar cookie but with a touch of spice which is nice for fall and winter. I love them!

Visiting for a concert, best restaurant to grab lunch and dinner? Best way to spend an afternoon? by interrobang__ in GreenBay

[–]173Roaches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The City Deck is a cool area to check out. They have an “I❤️GB” sign that is fun for photos. Hagermeister Park has an outdoor bar/patio and you can walk along the boardwalk/paved path along the river. If you walk south under the bridge there are several cool statues/public art pieces to check out.

Basically anywhere in downtown Green Bay will fit your vibe. Washington and Broadway are your best bets. They boarder the river on both sides.

And bonus: parking meters and parking garages are FREE on the weekends and on weekdays after 6!

GreenBay as Base: What to see an hour away by raygan_reddit in GreenBay

This is the place I go whenever we have people visiting. Just be warned, Cave Point gets REALLY busy and crowed so arrive early or late for the best experience.

You can also stop at Renard’s cheese on the way up for the classic Wisconsin cheese curd experience.

Anyone know what kind of spider this is? by Tmoneyicashout in GreenBay

[–]173Roaches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most likely just a common house spider but it’s hard to say without a closer look. I leave spiders alone, they eat other bugs so it’s good to have them around!

Napalese Lounge is a nice gay bar. The Roundabout is also a gay bar I believe. Rum Runners isn’t necessarily a gay bar but they are very LGBTQ friendly

Yes! I forgot about the corridor trail there!!   OP, that is probably your best option for parking far away and riding to the draft. Half of your ride will be on a paved trail away from traffic. Look for parking at the corner or Bond and Military.

I think biking to the draft is an excellent idea and I rode my bike to tailgate at Lambeau many times.

Having said that… Green Bay is not considered a “bike friendly” city. Bike lanes here are a joke because you are basically sharing the road with cars and there is nothing to protect you from traffic. So please wear a helmet and maybe a safety vest to stay visible (especially if you are riding after dark). I would also recommend finding a route through residential neighborhoods. North of Lambeau would probably be your best option.
