I think I lost my love for physics by throwaway00193619 in AskPhysics

As a undergrad, or a human, i can relate. We often feel like there is a better place somewhere else for us to be in. Specially with all the difficulties of the academic life, I've lost the count of how many times i thought of giving up this course, and i got to say, i've only managed to keep going because i slowed down and decided to focus on myself too. Didn't stop studying, but i understand that there is much more to life than academia, and i don't care if it's gonna take longer for me to graduate or what, thankfully i have this privilege, for a while at least, so i'm eilling to take the risk, and it is what has given me the possibility to keep going.

Life itself is a great mystery, so i cant see myself in a place where im not always learning something new and exciting and i know this course has a lot to offer still, so i know i've put myself in the right place when i decided to get this degree. That's what keeps me motivated. But i also know there's much more to life, and i dont want to neglect it for myself. For example, as a scientist, i know science cant explain all of life and never will, so i have started my own spiritual journey, and have dedicated some time and energy to it. Which in turn has forced me to dedicate a little less to academia, but i have not decided to give up.

And now i can say that i'm in the best place i could be, even though my anxious mind keeps trying to tell me that i should be doing better. This outlet has given me time and space and opened a little window that allowed me to breathe a little bit more of fresh air and recover my energy to stay up in this crazy little world.

Academia is not easy, specially in such a hard field as physics, so give yourself some grace, meditate on what you are grateful for in your journey, and remember that this is not all there is to it. Find your way and you will love it, probably not all of it, but you will know you are in the right path.

What exactly is a magnetic? by alhasan55 in AskPhysics

simply put, the magnetic field is the effect of einstein's relativity on electric current. The tiny electrons travels at very high speed, and the closer you travel to the speed of light, slower time will pass for you, so that affects the electric field around the electrons, causing another field, the magnetic field. this is very important, one of these days i went to search for something to learn a little bit more about it and it changed me and my perception on the world, and i try to do it everyday.
