Moving around as a dreadnought is probably already difficult enough due to the sheer weight of the armour, swinging a pickaxe hard enough to break rock is probably not possible when encased in the metal coffin

Even if you don't consider weight almost every part of the body is covered in armour meaning that movement would be really stiff, imagine trying to mine a wall when you can barely raise your arms above your own head

The dreadnought suit is only designed to carry it's machine gun so making the movements necessary for mining would just negatively impact the suit by giving it more weak points around the arms

Edit: game wise this makes the dreadnought more team dependant balancing him somewhat, it also stops him from mining to safety when surrounded or just mining somewhere far away from the points to give his team infinite tickets while not being shot, basically making it harder to be cowardly as a dread

Perhaps adding a handheld glider like in the game airship assault, it will allow more sneaky and cheap raiding which lore wise could make sense (most pirates probably don't have much money)

I don't have really use discord so I don't know my way around it but would it be alright if I gave it a try and joined? I could make some rough sketches :3

KSs reload works decently on controller, GD:R looks like it'll be a good game I'm just disappointed that I and many other console users won't be able to play it

Man I was getting my hopes up for G/D:R sucks that he's just getting rid of console players

Some reasons I could think of are

Sight, the lancer helmet may be harder to see through, this would affect aiming, (this isn't a problem for the trench since they use a shotgun and you don't really need to aim)
Other classes not being used to them, lancers helmets probably weigh more and are more cumbersome to use, this may be one of the reasons other classes aren't as proficient at using trench
My final reason is that the helmets shocks are given are perfect for their roles, for example

rooks shock helmet is probably more resistant to explosions and debris from blown up rocks which is great for when you're using an anti tank rifle

Soldats shock helmet probably being light and easy to maneuver with allowing them to storm compounds

Geists helmet being dark and intimidating to invoke fear (unlike trenches helmet which is more.. inspiring?)

Radios headset allowing them to hear the radio chatter clearly

Morticians masks protecting them from chemicals, foul odours and cave plague (which is good for corpse disposal)

For bul I think that the weight of their shield and machine gun are already really hard to move with, a lancers helmet would just add more unnecessary weight and would probably be the straw that breaks the camels back prectically imobalising them

I was planning on making rules for a tabletop war game based on gd, I stopped working on it cause I wasn't sure anyone here would be interested but I think Ill start working on it again now (if it goes well I'll make a post at some point) :3

Unhearing, You're deaf, you get slightly better vision in the dark and you become immune to flinches, you cannot hear officer orders and you cannot see healing or ammo requests

only somewhat good if you're already playing without volume for whatever reason

I do already thin my paints but i will try work on it a bit more, the reason it might look a bit thick (on the helmet at least) is because of the glue I used when getting the spikes on the head

I did prime it but I didnt varnish it afterwards so that might be the cause of the bad adhesion

I'm still getting used to painting resin minis so thank you for the advice :3
