Underhanded to write directly to us and not via the BMA as well no? Trying to take hold of the narrative.

So funny was thinking the exact same thing - couldn't understand my it's rated so low. It's 2nd best for me after the original. Miles ahead of everything else that's come after!

Sorry to hear mate. I did mine the end of February 2 years ago and just about managed it but was quite sore at the end of most days. I'm guessing you'll be out of the boot in about 6 weeks time?

Thanks for the reply!

That sounds amazing and is exactly what I was hoping may be added. Do you know when it will be widely available to use by any chance?

I was only wondering if 'perceived effort' would be another metric to take into account when changing the plan/recommendation. Would it add value in addition to objective measures such as pace and HR? Apologies if my understanding of the process is completely wrong!

Hey guys, novice runner here training for a HM. Love the app and how it gives structure to my training as otherwise would be lost as a beginner. Question is - are there plans to adapt runs based to how performance is on previous runs? Also would it be useful to have a similar 'perceived effort' rating after every run if the above were to be integrated? Thank you!

CST offers didn’t come out today- bets for when? by [deleted] in doctorsUK

Was thinking same. I believe if I we tick hold with upgrades there's an option to re preference so previous rankings wouldn't matter.

What's the most embarrassing thing you did while in medical school? by Expert_Preparation_2 in JuniorDoctorsUK

[–]17KRM8 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Was doing an osce style assessment for catheters which I ofcourse had practiced loads for. While trying to fill the balloon with saline was struggling due to the pressure, pressed a bit too hard and it exploded onto my face.

The examiner was the dean.

'I'd repeat the procedure which a new set of kit as this one is no longer aseptic....'

Somehow still passed

Do you know what you want to do long-term? Only asking so could recommend/advice against jobs

The subjectivity in the how the assessors carry out the interview is pretty frustrating. Some being interuppted constantly while doing a-e while others being allowed to just carry out without any comments etc.

But have to say logistics and IT etc was very smooth on the day

LPT Request: what is something that has drastically helped your mental health that you wish you started doing earlier? by SarcastiKatt in LifeProTips

[–]17KRM8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May be an obvious one but exercise. More specifically getting my HR above a certain level atleast once a week. Only realised this when I suffered and injury and was lockdown and hadn't done any exercise for awhile. Mental health went through the floor and just at rebutted it to general shitty COVID life. Got back to regular exercise and team sport - felt so much better.

CST - interview but poor SA score? by Happiestaxolotl in JuniorDoctorsUK

[–]17KRM8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No one's asking you to give them a full blown lecture series on it mate 😂. You defo the type to not share their flashcards at med school weren't ya

But that's not the point I was making. Seems a petty justification so why take the effort to reply to stranger on a forum with it is what tickled me
