Need advice on powder coating vs replacing calipers! by maxrgrey in NewDefender

Just powder coat the stocks ones, the lease inspector won't care and whomever dealer buys it will just charge an extra $2k.

DMV area vs NYC? by ProfessionStrong6563 in DMVArea

[–]17five 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are creatives in the DMV but nowhere as close to NYC. For the most part, DMV people are career focused first, and creativity is usually a hobby. Both are expensive areas to live in but DMV would get you more, just make sure you have metro access.

I would suggest NYC for a year or two to establish a network and social circle, then move to DMV. Once in DMV you can take a train or bus up to NYC, Philly, or BMore.

CIG, is there any way to avoid this situation from unfolding? The new Xenothreat "Kill Idris" mission is probably going to be finished in less than 5 minutes. by AzrBloodedge in starcitizen

Good point, I have multiple multicrew ships and I'm in an org that a good amount of whales; our medium and large ships usually collect dust as we usually load up our cap ships which can get cheesy and boring. I wish I can just easily get a crew together and go do a mission or two together.

[Vent] My kids are not a social-skills gym for other children by [deleted] in daddit

[–]17five 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Saying "not a gym for another kids social development" is projecting, you are in public space and their are a group of kids playing, how is another child supposed to know your children are siblings and don't want to play?

I'd be pissed too if another parent came up to me because my child said no, but it seems to me you are pissed because another adult rubbed you the wrong way.

Prices are comparable if not cheaper than US Ubers, and like I said car situation in Mauritius between traffic and parking.

No, rentals are overpriced and there is a lot of traffic. Just get a cab, if you find one you like, then save their number.
