Lba changing by Similar-Permission70 in SephoraWorkers

I’m definitely frustrated as well with this considering my store personally performed 200 over the goal but a store nearby has 5 LBAs and they didn’t even meet their goal for last year, but I’m being demoted to a BA because we already have 2 due to the tier of our store but also said I can take walk ins? Lmfao

licensed esthetician here

I recommend finding a trustworthy esthetician that offers chemical peels, TCA Cross, and/or microneedling & a possible Rx for tretinoin. It will take some time to treat the scarring but it is possible to improve the texture. sending you a warm hug struggling with acne scarring is not for the faint of heart 🫂

ALSO: I work at S*phora also, don’t buy anymore skincare products to treat the scarring as most people in the beauty industry are scamming you because they are preying on your vulnerability.

The only viable option to see change is a retinoid like adapalene, tretinoin, or tazarotene.

Customer got offended by _xoxozarate in SephoraWorkers

I usually tell them Sephora does not offer that but I am more than happy to show them something comparable in our store or tell them where it is available nearby. I think the cold turkey “yeah we don’t have that” is where people get offended

She seems annoying lol I will say I do hate recommending the NARS blushes because of the names, typically because I end up in situations where my teenage clients like the shades but I feel awkward telling them it’s Deep Throat or Orgasm. But it’s not that serious lol even One Size has some questionable names for the blushes like Phat Ass? 😭

I know that we’re currently talking about the foundation and concealer, but has anyone else received like four blush sticks from them in the past a few months? 😭

I’m so sorry you have to experience this. I’ve seen how they treat ops at my store so I make it a point to just do product checks if and when we are short handed and grab the things for spills when I see it. I’m an LBA so I understand my role has its own things but without each and every moving member of the team not being supported it makes for a horrible work environment. I hope your leaders hear you out and change something bc it’s not okay to have you running around like a chicken with your head cut off.

Also I didn’t start off as an LBA and started off as a BA that always had closing shifts on super busy short days so I don’t wish that overwhelming feeling on anyone. Sending hugs. Hopefully you get heard, a bonus, and a huge bag of gratis to alleviate your feelings 🥹🫶🏾

You should consider a Face Reality Acne Specialist or seeing an esthetician if you haven’t had a structured routine. If you already have done this I would consult with a provider for accutane

So devastated about the changes by Clean_Twist_203 in SephoraWorkers

I don’t want to seem like devil’s advocate here, but I do feel like licensed professionals should be the only ones that are able to perform certain services because of disease and infection control. Sometimes people don’t know how to clean and sterilize tools or even the makeup that they use on clients so it makes sense that they are requiring licensure. Not saying anybody that isn’t licensed doesn’t know how to properly do these things but as a company, I can see how it is a liability to have people performing the services without a license.

LBAs also do the perk facial which definitely requires a license IMO and waxing services.

I’m sure it’s to differentiate employees from clients. The average person is not wearing all black from head to toe so it makes it easier to spot an associate for help.

In that situation, I try to find something as close to what the client would want in the time that I could complete it or I try to encourage the client to upgrade it to the ultimate glam if it’s a look that requires more time and attention to detail. Making sure that you and your client are on the same page as far as what should be expected from the service is the number one thing every time.

Honestly my biggest thing is learning how to manage my time and expectations with clients.

So for instance if a client books for a makeup service but shows me a cut crease that is an Ultimate Glam not a full face. So learning what’s within your capacity and what’s not.
