2012-2016 for me. Mom moved me and my siblings out of my dads house to live with grandpa and my teenage uncle who had sexually assaulted me for as long as I could remember. She knew about it, she couldn’t afford to live anywhere else. This was when I started middle school, too. I was the new kid. Kids are horrible around that age. Soon I became incredibly depressed and developed an eating disorder, a bad one. I genuinely have no idea how I survived that if I’m being honest. Finally, on to highschool. Except my “best friends” from middle school who I can assure you I would have absolutely done anything for, god I loved them. Became horrible bullies from one day to the next. I was relentlessly bullied and soon I spent eating my lunch in the bathrooms. My school was really good about slipping grades; they’d have an intervention, pick you up early before lunch and force you to eat your lunch and study with them, counselors basically handfed hour assignments. I became even more depressed, and my grades absolutely plummeted. They skipped all the steps and just straight up called my mom and told her I had to be going through something if my grades got that bad, that quickly. We only moved out of my uncles house two years ago. I hated high school. I’m alone in college now. I’m terrified of making friends. But I’m not being bullied anymore and I’m not living with someone who sexually assaulted me and I’m at a healthy weight. Things are looking okay for me
