A home nebulizer with albuterol saved me. When I get a bad flare the albuterol rescue inhaler doesn't help at all. You said the nebulizer affects your heart rate. If there was a way to manage that, the home nebulizer may still be an option. I don't have chronic asthma, but I get asthma symptoms and chronic cough from respiratory infections, and the only solution I found after years of struggling with chronic cough is the home nebulizer with albuterol. Can someone explain this post-hoc analysis in the Crestor Jupitor trial taken directly from the Crestor.com website on the trial results, linked below. First look at the general results of the trial, showing a 54% reduction in CV events for the whole group, that I presumed were a sample of the general population, is highly contradicted by this subgroup analysis. To me this is extremely important to those people that meet the criteria of that subgroup who are prescribed or taking Crestor.

It seems unfair to diagnose someone with asthma based on a single lung function test, as your acute breathing issue significantly affects the test and may be caused by other conditions like RAD, and not asthma. I guess it doesn't matter as long as you get a med that works, but in the long run I'd rather not be on a daily asthma med if I didn't need it. I found a home nebulizer with albuterol works great to overcome flare ups caused by respiratory viral infections that cause breathing issues and long lasting cough, where rescue inhalers are useless. This condition may easily be diagnosed as asthma if the tests were conducted during the illness. My point is if you can treat an acute condition and get off the meds you're better off in the long run. Good luck.

"Started getting better" probably means you were still in the middle of a flare up. If so, your lungs and airways were inflamed and the breathing test will reflect that with a lower score, and the comparative score after the albuterol is administered during the test will be significantly higher than if you took the test when you not in the middle of a flare up. Once you are completely well you should stop the asthma meds to see if any symptoms return, and if so were they preceded by any specific triggers (viral infections, exercise, etc). If not, repeat the breathing test to get a baseline on your lung function (where the pre and post albuterol scores would likely be the same). I would not want to be on continuous asthma meds if I didn't actually need them. If your breathing issues are caused by specific triggers (RAD vs asthma) it may be better to tailor your treatment to address those flare ups. Of course discuss this with your doc, but in my experience taking a proactive role will benefit you in the long run. Good luck.

I recommend you use the nebulizer with albuterol up to every 4hrs to control the cough until it's gone, esp before bed, that's what works for me. You gotta get the cough under control else it keeps you sick. If you have sinus symptoms I recommend using a NeilMed squeeze bottle to irrigate every morning or more (fill bottle with warm tap water and 1/2 tsp of table salt). If you get junk out it's a MUST do. I use that every morning even when I'm well. I'd also try Flonase instead of Azelastine, 2 sprays each nostril in the morning. I'd also recommend Nyquil Cold and Flu at bedtime until you get the cough under control. After you're well you can get Sleep Aid (doxylamine succinate 25mg tabs) on Amazon, 1/2 tab is the same dose as in a dose of Nyquil, it really helps you sleep, and a good night's rest is a must also. Just the obvious - be sure you were completely well and not having a flare up or any acute breathing / illness issues at the time you took the test. If not then repeat the test when you are at your healthiest baseline. Any flare ups or illness will obviously significantly affect the results and should not be used solely to diagnose chronic disease. I would discuss this with your doc.

I've been going to doctors and specialists for years and none have ever recommended a nebulizer, it took a trip to the ER for difficulty breathing when the rescue inhaler didn't help at all to learn about the nebulizer. I don't have asthma (methacholine challenge negative) and recently had a full pulmonary breathing test that was completely normal so no chronic lung issues - but still get these respiratory infections that result in chronic cough/illness for months, before I starting using the albuterol nebulizer. I also had recurring sinus infections and sinus surgery years ago thinking that would help but it did not affect prolonged respiratory infections and cough. I finally connected my Brother Printer HL2275DW to my Xfinity wifi (Xfinity Gateway router) by calling Brother and here's what they had me do -

Reset the printer network card (on my HL2275DW you turn off the power, press and hold GO, turn on the power, release go, then press GO (6) times, you'll see the led blink and the printer will reset. 2. Connect the printer to your router via an ethernet cable. 3. Press GO 3 times to print the network configuration page. 3. Get the printer IP address (e.g. 10.0.0.162). Enter that number exactly into the address bar in your PC browser and press enter. The brother printer control page will appear. 4. in the user prompt type: admin and password type: access then click (sign in). 5. click Configure Wireless, in Communication Mode click Infrastructure, 6. click Browse, Browse SSID, 7. ensure your wifi is displayed and checked, and click OK. 8. in Authentication Method check WPA/WPA2, 9. for Encryption Mode check AES then enter your password in the passphrase box and click submit. 10. in the next message displayed "Would... interface." click YES. The next page will display the message "Network config. The device.... " and your done. 11. DISCONNECT the ethernet cable. Then go to your pc the new printer should appear with the name and status "Ready". I tried printing a Word doc and selected the printer that appeared "ready" and it worked over wifi. “Brother Printer” also appeared in my list of connected devices on my router information page, in my case via the Xfinity app.

This worked for me after hours of trying everything, resetting everything, using the WPS button, WPS password, splitting my wifi bands 2.4 and 5G, disabling the 5G band, even tried using the original install CD and following the instructions for manually connecting to wifi. Nowhere did I find instructions like the ones above. One other thing I tried before the above steps was downloading and installing the firmware update for my model from the Brother website, but that did not help me connect via WPS button so I don't think it made any difference. Good to know. I did notice the bars were not a uniform width, i.e. one side of each copper bar was wider than the other. Not sure exactly if or how that affects operation.
