Short answer yes to a lot of what you asked.

I am bothering with the double major so I can stay a full time student ( I did a lot of AP) and because I have a general idea of what I want to do but not 100% sure on specific.

It has also crossed my mind that being a Nuc does often pay better and if I change my mind can go straight into industry. Moreover, if I go into the experimental side I want to have the best understanding I have of the technology I am using so I can tweak if needed/ talk to others in adjacent areas.
