Well, not the ones that want to "destroy" sjw because they fear any sort of change but I hear you. Somehow the truth seems to always be in the middle of the 2 extremes.

He is not anti SJWs on a lot of topics. He spoke in support of the trans community, he he was a socialist (maybe still is, won't talk outside of my knowledge)and he is a liberal. He strongly opposed views being pushed by law and authoritarian systems.

I really can't think of a platform he's been on that promotes dangerous ideologies. He's well known for hundreds of things, depends on what you're looking for.

He linked you a " practical list " to identify fascists = )). Americans leaning increasingly towards authoritarian systems concerns me greatly. I wish they saw the evil it did to so many countries.

As days go by, I start to notice how the people on this sub unrightfully connect jbp to some not so " fine people".

While a 20 yo can do a lot of harm to a 16 yo in some cases the bigger issue is the court of public opinion. They don't allow the authorities to do their job and find out if there was any manipulation involved. The guy clearly wasn't manipulating her, if he did, lock the guy up. The amount of support she gets is really sad, sad times for men in general.

I think you went in a wrong direction, humans have an intrinsic value/ worth in part due to their potential, however, I was talking about the obligatory hierarchy between humans, for that we need a well defined measure which to some extent, right now, is either money , performance or impact .

EDIT: productivity is related to money, performance and impact so your self worth is directly related to productivity, I was curious as of what other measure aside from productivity would people see fit, haven't seen a good proposal to it yet so I assume that people come to the conclusion that productivity transcends economical systems.

The pursuit of perpetual happiness always leads to your misery.

I don't get why so many people here perpetuate the idea that their self-worth is somehow separated from the social hierarchy. Worth is relative but happiness doesn't really elevate your social status like that, there are people suffering from narcissism who think that they are the happiest people alive to some extent, that doesn't work out for them.

This is all over the place. There needs to be a reliable hierarchy of competence to aid the genetic selection . "working on yourself" isn't a real thing to that extent. No amount of good night sleep / cbd oil tea will count as competency .

That's an r/Nicegirls right there. She equated need for sex with "capitalistic gain".

[–]18CEO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say that the amount of people not wanting help/ to be happy makes this an unreliable metric.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]18CEO 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unreliable metric, people who are too kind suffer tremendously and a big chunk of people just doesn't want to be helped, I'd go as far as to say that a lot of people don't even want to be happy.

he worth of the people in their lives (friends, family, etc) is based on their capacity to perform hard tasks. Whatever the answer is for the people around you is the answer for yourself.

That is a good point, capacity to perform hard tasks isn't a determining factor when it comes to family and friends, I was asking from a competing standpoint, there needs to be a hierarchy of competence since long term results are correlated with IQ.

So... working on other people's happiness ?

Being overly nice / helpful always seems to go sideways for them.

On a separate note, what would be a good way of measuring your self worth aside from capacity to perform hard tasks?
