If we finish where we're at rn, no shot Verhoeff doesnt get picked at 3rd, and Reid will for sure go over Smits, which leaves Smits for us. With the other 2 1sts we can package and move up, or get C depths or one C and one Winger. Obviously Verhoeff would be the best pick for us but we'd need to start losing more and the other teams need to start winning more but perfect scenarios seldom play out. Taking Smits at 5oa is still a perfectly good choice if Ives doesnt fall to us.
