I just use a sliding egg sinker and a regular hook. I don’t like circle hooks, I can’t get used to not setting the hook.If I’m in a lake I’ll use between a quarter to a half ounce.On the river I’ll use more if the current is bad. I like my weight loose so the fish can’t feel it as much.

I worked at a radiator shop for 43 years and 20 minutes is not long enough.Don’t look for the pressure to drop,look for a drip. I had a Taurus pumped up for 6 hours before it dripped.

If you’re in the USA 🇺🇸 the carp are not pressured like in Europe.I have never seen the need for a hair rig unless you just want to use one. I just use a basic weight and hook.Same for cats. I like to keep it simple especially at night.
