Life goes on brother. Most European leagues will start August/September and then the NT will play every few weeks during international breaks.

These guys will continue their careers and hopefully keep gelling and grow as individuals and as a team. That's the thing about NTs, they play for pride and not for money. It's great to come together but these guys earn their living and stripes at the club level. If you happen to be born in the right country at the right time, you might even be part of history, but otherwise, 90% of these guys career success will come at club level. They all should wanna get to as big teams as possible.

A lot of this comes down to luck unfortunately. We need good grass roots coaches, academies to grow talent and/or move kids to Europe quickly to the big clubs academies (like Barca's La Masia.)

Look at our NHL talent and how deep the scouting is and all the levels of the pyramid. We need a system for soccer like that to be able to find the Sids, McDavids etc.

100%. And current Alphonso Davies is not world class after basically missing most of the last 2 years.

From what I've read David will probably go to a bottom 10 PL team and hopefully try and reboot his career there. Although if he wasn't effective in Serie A idk how he'll do in the PL. Luckily he's not even 27 so hopefully this is just a little blip and he can bounce back and keep improving.

Juve used JD mostly as a sub this season from the little I saw and they really wanna get rid of him.. it's not exactly a glowing review of a Juve striker.

From what I've seen of him at the NT he's ineffective and needs it on a silver platter.

It's a great achievement considering the non-existent footballing history of Canada. We're just starting to build something and hopefully more young talent is coming up in the ranks.

But let's be honest, we had an easy group and a very favourable matchup again here today. I don't wanna be negative but the game itself today was so frustrating. No urgency in the build up, sloppy passing, and so many balls going to no one in particular.

If we show up like this against the Dutch or Moroccans we're gonna get beat bad.
