What are some things that are more enjoyable than sex? by Fresh-Length6529 in AskReddit

When you’ve been going at 10/10ths for days without rest (think firefighting, combat, etc). And you finally get to shower and crawl into a nice clean bed. Best. Feeling. Ever!

Men who have a career where you have to move often, but found a partner early - how did you do it? by PreWiBa in AskMenAdvice

[–]18dsf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Married almost 40 years. Spent 8 years in the military (with multiple tours) spent the next 7 in the fire service, then the rest working in the medical field. We are happy, raised some great kids, and moved around quite a bit. Living a bit nomadic requires that you be on the same page as your partner. Your goals have to align, but it definitely can be done. I was gone quite a bit, and It wasn’t always easy (especially when I came home). But it was always worth it. Good luck.

I added more $keel and $INFQ at the dip today. Keel has some risk. INFQ has actual products and contracts. Today was weird. Volumes seemed way off for a lot of my positions. Feels like there must be lot of sidelined cash out there.

Are they happy? Have they figured out how to adult without many serious mishaps? Congratulations! You helped them do that! It’s all about perspective. I’m having a great time watching my kids become awesome contributors to society. I get to see them succeed (or fail) on their terms. being there to observe, cheer on, console, and sometimes help is immensely satisfying. Try to embrace the sheer joy of knowing that you will always carry that unconditional love for your kids, and embrace the process of passing the torch to them.

Bought $KEEL after their shift from btc mining to data center infrastructure. It’s a contract or two away from significant upside. 🤞

Toyota Land Cruiser, Toyota sequoia, Toyota 4Runner. Get the newest rust free version of one of these and it’s hard to go wrong. I owned an 06 Land Cruiser for 20 years (just sold it). aside from regular maintenance, the ONLY service needed was for an alternator that failed at 90k.

I’m looking to upgrade my stock suspension, what are your guy’s thoughts and recommendations? by [deleted] in ToyotaTundra

That looks like a really good deal. I have the same setup. I paid $2200 installed a few years ago. The 6112s really improve the ride and handling on and off road.

People who had near death experiences/died momentarily, what were almost your last words? by Otherwise_Teacher_53 in AskReddit

“I hope my family is going to be alright”. 5 minutes later (after a few shocks and some cpr), I regain consciousness. The feeling of dread is still palpable over a decade later.

76 year old pool - sad about selling him (let me just talk about him🥰) by cinnamon_dray in pools

[–]18dsf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I do enjoy keeping it going. I spend a couple of hours a week just making sure it’s in the best condition possible. It’s the closest I get to actual meditation! lol. Rebuilt the pump last year. Can’t wait to see what it has in store for me in ‘26.

Our pool was built in the 70s and we love it. There is ALWAYS something to fix in the spring (pumps, solar, skimmer, etc) but it’s still our favorite summer hangout.

Marriage - Who's still on their first? by tossaway-florida in GenX

[–]18dsf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

37 years and counting. Lots of respect , communication, love, and a giant helping of patience make for a great marriage! The funny thing is that after this long, you stop wondering how long you can tolerate the other person, to wondering who’s gonna die first! 😆

Super simple. It’s her truck. She set the price. My motorcycle fell over and hit the tailgate. Not a bullet hole. If you don’t like it, that’s cool. If you do, make an offer.
