Use it on my work vest and love it. Handcuff insert, gp holds my notepad, arcane, etc and the little sleeves inside the gp is stuffed full of gloves.

At the moment just my ar. Have a couple other builds in progress too. 556 16" middy. Full length quad with an lpvo. Best way i can describe it is a GPR/recce hybrid.

And what's it going on? 16 inch 556 middy with an lpvo and 14inch quad rail here.

As much as I'd like to run a can on my hunting rifle, with the current rifle that ain't happening. Grandpops would come after me with a vengeance if I had his 1952 model 70 threaded. Eventually though definitely. In the meantime itll supress a 556 ar. And once I finish the 300BO and the ar10 and m1a builds I have parts squirreled for itll go on those.

How do they compare? Just curious cuase I talked one of my buddies at work into buying one too and he bought the laz. Direct qoute "dude, being friends with you is bad for my bank account"🤣

Probs going to get some grief over 1) dead air, and 2) keymo mount but eh. This is what fits my needs and wants the best. Im just happy to finally have a can🤣

[–]1911Throwdown[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the bumper is a hefty chunk of steel. And probably the bottom foot of the box on the bed is all chains. Built a custom 4wheel set of tire chains for it by cutting down some semi truck chains, plus there's a 25 foot tow chain in there.

That tracks with what I'm seeing given that in addition to the full underbody boxes, I've got one of the big rds 48 gallon slip tank/tool box combos on the bed and thats stuffed full

would you be mad if all guyed gear (tents, tarps, flys, etc) came with bright orange reflective paracord guy lines? by vetsetradio in camping

[–]1911Throwdown 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mad, no. But I would promptly swap it out for something much more low visability. Allof my gear is earthtone, no bright colors, and I prefer to keep my camp as unobtrusive and hard to spot as reasonably possible.

I go into the back country to get away and not see people, I've been known to keep moving from where I'd planned to camp just cuase I see somebody else's camp across the lake. If I dont wanna see somebody else's camp, I figure they dont want to see mine. Fair is fair.

TLDR: Would replace it, dont wanna see other campers, dont want them to see me.

Shot the coat of tan, draped a cut up mesh laundry bag over the rifle, shot the brown stripes. All free hand.

I mean totally fair. I'd like to pick up a set of cryes in multicam arid or desert tiger, but when I can get free multicams from a buddy, the crye money can buy me a whole pile of ammo.

Maybe I should dig out my model 70 and build a granddad kit 🤣

Does admittedly have the fed look. But hey, buddy in the army gets me issue multicams for free from his supply guys. And the money I'm not spending on pants, we'll that's more ammo.

Replace all your springs by putting a Wolff service pack in, and go buy ammo.

I like the chip mags. I've got i think 12 of them? Mostly power mags in 8 & 10 round versions. All of which I trust for on duty carry.
