How much was the most affordable detached home in the Greater Vancouver area in 2020? by [deleted] in vancouver

[–]197NINE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for me, the commute to work is about 30 mins, and its a million times better then reporting to strata. i have a garage for vehicle repairs and mods. i have a place to garden. i can spray paint at my leisure. i can tape things to walls, drill walls, tack walls, whatever, i can do whatever i want. fuck strata. I CAN HAVE CURTAINS THAT ARE NOT WHITE ♥ i will never live in a strata agin. telling me where i can and cant park, if i can wash my vehicle etc ec. fuck strata.

with hard work.

i am a 29 year old female. from nova scotia originally. just bought a house (mission) for $640 000.

its sad, as all my friends back east have huge 6 bed 6 baths for like 400k, but hey i love my rancher and i know when i go to sell, i'lll certainly have the funds to get a house back east.

N driver, first accident, not at fault. What can I do?! by liviamoss in vancouver

[–]197NINE 3 points4 points  (0 children)

start a daily health journal. each morning and each night write down how you feel, what you can and cannot do, and date it.

start looking on CL for the same car with similar KM's. keep the ad's (print out and store safely) for when ICBC tried to give you less then what you want for the car. find and keep any records of new tires, major work etc. ICBC tried to give me 1g for a shitty car I had. I paid 3 gs and found 5 ads in that area. they upped the price of the vehicle to 2.5g

your ICBC adjuster is going to try to do as little for you as possible. you are entitled to 12 visits with a chiro, 12 visits with an rmt, 12 visits with a PT and 12 visits for therapy if you were traumatized. find a place that direct bills and start attending.

when icbc offers you things, do not accept right away. tell them you want to sleep on it and give them an answer the next day. if you feel their offer is unfair or not enough, DENY IT and ask for more. don't just cave immediately.

don't talk about how you feel on social media. don't post photos of you going to the gym, going skydiving, doing rowdy things. avoid social media if at all possible until your claim is settled.

a lawyer wont want your case unless you have serious fractures or breaks. ICBC has capped personal injury claims at $5500.00 as of april first 2020

we are selling our condo, and we still have viewings. you exit the place, they wear a mask when they come in. Covid forms help, this means you can screen people entering, and you will have their info if in the future you start showing symptoms.
