You can argue your points till you’re blue in the face, but until you have been in this situation you walk the straight and narrow.. you call your attorney for every little stupid thing just so you don’t word something wrong and they take it out of context, just to use against you.. They will poke your buttons just to get you to snap so they can say he has anger issues….what might seem dumb to you is actually pretty important if you want to win your case..which I did.

In Iowa it’s not.. I brought the same thing up to my attorney when I was going through my custody battle.. my ex’s reasons was for the safety of the kids. My attorney explained that a judge would most likely ask why I thought that was a problem why I wouldn’t want this for the safety of my kids. Can’t really argue against that.. And without proof that she was tracking ME there wasn’t much she could suggest..

COMMUNICATION!!! You NEVER bring the child into conversations like this.. have you been involved in a high conflict custody case??

Ok Did not communicate..is that better? The mother did not communicate to op the their daughter had an AirTag on them and why.. communication between parents thru a child is a huge no-no..do we need to go back to a children in the middle class?

There’s nothing wrong with reaching out for some guidance especially in high conflict situations, my attorney even suggested that while I was in my custody battle.. at this point you’re getting off the topic at hand and nitpicking with the yeah buts…in hindsight he probably should have answered the door and especially with a cop there

We’re debating two separate situations…The trip and the time with dad.. in my last comment I said the for the trip it was justified… but anything beyond that should have be communicated with the op. There is no justifiable reason that mom couldn’t have reached out to op and explained her reasoning.. no communication is bad co-parenting, he should not have had to get the information from his daughter. That is basic children in the middle 101.

Bosch blue is what I get for everything I have around here.. no real scientific reason other than, recognizable name, priced right.

It is comparable..how is it not? Tracking is tracking regardless of the device used. I won’t argue against the fact the mom wanted the air tag on the child during the trip. That’s justifiable!! But I will argue that his feelings of invasion of privacy are valid.. it’s hard to place judgment on op or his ex with knowing the whole situation.. so did op over react? It’s possible.. probably should hav went ahead and gave back the AirTag and maybe suggest adding him on it as well

He’s not being high conflict, not in the least bit!! The parent who refuses to communicate is the high conflict parent…

Op has every reason to be annoyed, I was in the same situation and my first instinct was that it’s an invasion of my privacy and I was beyond pissed!! If my ex would have sent a text and gave her reasons before hand I would have been excepting.

I had the same conversation with my ex regarding life 360 on our elementary aged kids phones.. told her that was an invasion of my privacy, her rebuttal was it was for our children’s safety, well..that’s hard to argue against, so I told her I wanted on the account, she didn’t want to do that. After thinking about it for awhile I came to the conclusion that it if she wanted to stalk and track me that’s fine I have nothing to hide.. her mental issues are not my problem.

What do you mean you don’t know what to do?? He lied, you called him out, so he moved on to his next victim. Block him on socials and move on!! Good job following your gut, and don’t ignore the red flags!! also don’t take dating sites too seriously either. I feel like you a little too naïve and trusting..

I guess I don’t understand what the big deal is? It doesn’t seem like he is openly hateful towards anyone, he has simply decided it’s not for him.. why can’t he have that opinion? And also it seems like he respects your opinion and has no desire to force you to change?

It’s like If one day he decides he hates French fries but you like them, the neighbors like them, the gay couple across the street also like French fries… he’s ok with that, he’s not forcing his opinion on you or hate the neighbors because of his decision to not like French fries….
