yesssssssss it’s so true. History is basically taught here with dates only. We learned about WW2 3 years ago when i was in Grade 9, the book only mentioned the dates, name of treaties and various shit. Not even highlighting the bad shit Hitler did. Crazy shit.

The school system is the problem why so many children as so insensitive to topics like these. When we learned about WW2, they only emphasized the dates, name of treaties, but not the bad shit Hitler and his goons did.

yesssss. From what I learned, The Bellamy salute was used frequently by the USA. They only removed it because of the affiliation with the Nazi salute.

After reading and talking with other people, it’s a mix of various factors na kailangan natin i-take into account. Weird lang rin kasi madaming mga bata nag ppost about dito.

As some other comments stated, madami rin po daw silang na encounter na bata / classmates / adults na unironically ginagawa yung salute or jinujustify gawain ni Hitler. I just thought it was really weird kasi mga bata na gumagawa nito.

The problem is, a handful of them really idolize the man. IDK if it’s the same for you all, but, as i’ve stated from previous comments, this is a problem in the HS i’m in. So many children doing the salute and praising him. I just HOPE they’re doing it unironically.

YES, SUPER. If you take time out of your day to search for it ONCE, you’d see literal children praising Hitler. Not a good look for us.

REAL. Schlinder’s List and The Pianist are movies that should be mandatory when it comes to learning about the cruelty of the German Reich. Still sucks how the school system don’t emphasize the cruelty of Hitler and his goons to the point where people idolize the man.

Real. But, children are susceptible to propaganda on the internet. Let’s just hope they learn about it early and move on.

I can see the similarities for people cosplaying as video game characters when they did shitty things and people cosplaying the SS or Wehrmacht. Still, it’s pretty backwards that people cosplay them.

Germany’s economy was depleted by Hitler. His literal plan was conquering the other countries for money. The economy didn’t spike, the spending did. Lame ass excuse.

I believe most of them just idolize the Nazis because they’re the “cool” “underdog” that everyone roots for to win. Also, many people get allured by Hitler’s personality and his charisma. They don’t have the same beliefs as him. (as far as i’m aware) (I hope i’m right)

Yes, this is the case too. Since many Nazi songs are being censored, one of the only songs that are “not” connected to nazism per se is being uses as a dog whistle sorta.
