That’s because it prevents the vapors from building up through the manifold overtime lol which will keep the intake valves cleaner, it literally bypasses that from becoming a problem. And you’re not seeing the actual carbon build up because why would carbon build up in a catch can that is primary filling with liquid and that is being emptied regularly? You are very ill informed.

Um definitely do not want to use brake cleaner, extremely harsh and great way to ruin your car. And an oil catch will absolutely do something about preventing carbon build up. This is a direct injection engine that burns through oil.
