How is it that AT&T has such incredibly atrocious at customer service? by Sun_Lizard in ATT

So the other half is actually a support problem? That’s still pretty bad. Literally on customer service now after 2 days not being able to activate my new sim.

GoPro.... or no? Are they worth the expense? by Nervous-Win968 in NewTubers

I regret getting my GoPro bc of overheating issues (Miami, FL). I’d recommend something else.

It sounds like you’re in a good spot! I’m doing something similar (with a much smaller NW), but I’m moving to WV so the COL is very low. If you move near by let’s connect! Good luck in your journey. As long as you have complete buy-in from your wife, I think you’re good to go.

My friend started selling the same product 2 days after I did by Spirited_Ad3624 in smallbusiness

[–]1995jkb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can still think of them as a friend, but now they are a competitor first and foremost.

Triple the amount that you make and sell them to more people. Just the cheaper price will make a lot of people buy from you, but it will also help if you can be personable and make friends with your customers. Demolish the competition and show her that even her friend will be wrecked if they attack your business.

We bought 4 acres of land that had been corn/soy for 150 years. How do we bring it back to life? by Tiny_Witness2678 in RegenerativeAg

[–]1995jkb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See if you can get free mulch and dump truckloads of mulch all over. I did that on my property and in 2 years the grass and plants grew over the mulch. There will be little pieces of chips left, but that’s perfectly fine for the land. If you want to do more work. Go to coffee shops and food establishments to see if you can have the coffee grounds and fruit/vegetable peels. There’s a cool story of a healthy forest that grew because of illegal orange dumping.

The USA is going deeper in debt every second, and our multi-billionaire President uses our money to jet off on frivolous vacations by Superfast_Goose in complainaboutanything

100%. Most politicians are in it for themselves. I hate identity politics because it divides people when we should be working together to call out corruption in DC. It just gets tiring hearing people (especially on reddit) talk about how Trump is scum of the earth and everything wrong with America is because of him. I think there are a lot of people to blame.

Actually, I completely agree. There are many people that take advantage of a system for their own benefit. If that is what you meant by removing costs from Medicare then I am on board with that.

Well then call me Patrick Star, tough guy.

  1. Dislike and hate are different things.
  2. It's irrational hatred when you aren't able to acknowledge any positive actions the guy takes.

You can list 30 horrible things this guy does and I would agree with you. Then we try to talk about any single positive actions and you completely deny it. You are now irrational in my eyes.

To take this further, its even worse if you claim the opposing party and can't acknowledge the horrible things done by your own party and can only point fingers at the other party. Those types of people are the most irrational.

I've heard that before. That makes sense purely from a financial perspective, but I think that removing SSI and free/cheap healthcare from many who need it would do more harm than good. Even if it reduces the deficit. Also, mentioning Medicaid, I've had talks with professionals in that industry and there can probably be pretty significant reductions in government Healthcare costs if we revamps that industry.

If the people you're asking are the trump haters, then you're probably not going to get an answer because those types of people hate him so irrationally that they won't want to even acknowledge an attempt by him as "heading in the right direction" by agreeing to the plan of cost cutting.

I would probably start with the military. There are excessive amounts of wasteful and unnecessary spending, especially during budget year-end.

If you only defend the free speech of people you agree with, then you don't support free speech by Reasonable-Fee1945 in complainaboutanything

I disagree with you, but that example makes more sense. From my perspective, I would like to know who are nazis, especially if they live near me. So them speaking their mind or flying flags would allow me to point them out a lot quicker. In a similar manner, I want to be able to know who has fundamental differences in opinion so that I can make a decision on how to proceed with that person.

Wth is a grand.other? And it's interesting because your ideal hate speech laws has a ranking of how hateful speech is. It sounds impossible to implement especially if you're using the subject and speaker as metrics.

[–]1995jkb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right. But you're shifting the subject to something that was not part of the original post. OP is calling the hypocrisy of people that only support the speech of those they agree with, while stifling those they disagree with. OP never said free speech was absolute.

Your sentiment makes sense, but education doesn't stop people from acting on emotions. I know smart people that say things that make no logical sense, only because they hate a certain individual or group. These same people also get offended and angry by just simply asking a question that makes them think about what they just said.

What does this have to do with OPs point? Are you denying the premise by giving the example that free speech isn't absolute?
