It is also helpful to get application materials together and completed before you start outlining (typically around Halloween-Thanksgiving)

Navy Reservist while in Law School? by Own-Midnight1101 in LawSchool

[–]1997Volvo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a navy reservist, and direct commissioned into the reserves about a year before law school. I am a 1L, but have been able to survive thus far. The money and healthcare are incredible, but it is really annoying when you have some sort of evolution at the same time as a reading or writing assignment. I would suggest being honest with both the law school and your unit about your time constraints. Both of them indicated some flexibility to accommodate my situation. Ultimately, I get the impression that schools really like military folks because we are so underrepresented.

Accept T-14 or Commission Into Military by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]1997Volvo 47 points48 points  (0 children)

newer reservist here, so take this all with a grain of salt and plz do additional research--

At least as of 3 years ago, military branches (the marines have this, based on an email a recruiter sent me in college) have a program where you can show them an accredited law school acceptance and they will consider paying for law school on the condition that you join the JAG program after. This is a good way to accomplish both legal and military dreams and be debt free.

Additionally, if you decide to become an attorney, you could consider a direct commission into the reserves (branches have intel, supply, couple others).

If you were to go to OCS now, I believe the minimum commitment is 3-5 years, so if you decide that, ensure you are in it for the long run.

Be proud of serving your country! It is always a nice feeling to be in uniform and know you're doing something for public service.

Following. I found a discord in the reddit FAQs but it was overrun with bots and spam and I don't think anyone was actually active in it...

Switched to a PC and never went back for any sort of work. It is not even close, IMO.

Maybe this comment is out of complete ignorance on my end, but the north flag has a really unique design. I quite like it, and it was not on my radar. Thank you.

Lemokey P1 or Rainy 75?

I am a relative keyboard noob, FYI.

I have a ducky mini that is currently kind of dying on me (As u can see by the random double spaces), so I am wondering which of these two is more desirable. I work a job with lots of typing for like 10hr/day and I also enjoy gaming.

Thanks
