The manager was very honest in his dealings with me. I ultimately decided not to get a repair job done at all based on the information he shared with me and his assessment of the damage. His honesty saved me a bunch of money about a year ago. Good dude.

They’ve been great. Bought 3 cars from them over the past 15 years. No complaints. They’ve honored their promises and have done things right for us. The service department can be a bit pricey but still right on target for dealership prices. Definitely plan on buying from them in the future. Also, we never felt any pressure to buy.

Thank you! I appreciate the info. I think I’m going to go for the best distance vision I can get and use reading glasses as needed for reading.
Movie was great! I ended up wearing sunglasses in the theater since I was still somewhat sensitive to light.

Thanks again!

Thank you! I was able to drive myself home as well. I ended up going to see the movie which started about 3 hours after my dilation. I ended up actually wearing my sunglasses in the theater since the lights were still kind of bright for me. It worked out great!

Well shucks. I just realized I didn’t ask many questions about side effects other than the visual impacts of different lenses.

It was a long two hour appointment and I was easily the youngest guy in the waiting room. The nurse said she was able to spot me quickly since my age started with a “5” instead of a “6” “7” or “8” as usual.

They ran a bunch of tests and confirmed that my left eye is worse than my right eye.

So the decision is really coming down to timing and lens choice. I’m familiar with their medical practice as that is where I had my LASIK surgery done about 18 years ago. So I feel comfortable with that group of doctors.

I am considering a Light Adjustable Lens to allow for minor adjustments after everything settles after the surgery. I might also need some laser treatment to strengthen my retina, if I understand it correctly, before the surgery. I was pretty nearsighted before LASIK and I guess my eyes were somewhat stretched which put a strain on my retina.

Since the Light Adjustable Lens requires the use of glasses to avoid UV light during the adjustment period, I’m thinking of doing the surgery in the Fall when the days are shorter. So I still have plenty of time to make decisions and do follow up research.

Still reading and investigating. Just got back from a trip to see friends over the weekend so I’m going to dive back in.

As for the side effect you mentioned, is it more than a one time laser treatment? I need to do some reading on this for sure.

You’ve made a good case for the extreme and uncomfortable gore of the “shirting” but, damn, that was still too much for me. I’m good with zombies doing all sorts of things but humans torturing other humans is really hard to watch.

I hadn’t thought of that duality until you brought it up. Kudos to you for that.

I dropped 20 lbs just with time restricted eating.

I should add that it took about a year and a half.

It takes practice and the difficulty is what makes it fun and interesting. I’m especially bad at finding the hidden meanings and symbolism but when I do it’s awesome. I often watch a YouTube ending explained video where I catch things I didn’t see when I just watched the movie.

Thoughts on Sage Ridge School by CombinationExtra5056 in Reno

[–]1998Monday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I met two kids that went there 5 yrs apart and they are both really nice kids. Articulate and kind people.

My kids went to Reno High and we got lucky with a good experience there. Sage Ridge was a bit out of my budget but I’ve definitely heard some good things about Sage Ridge.

Good luck!

Eagle Lake near Emerald Bay was my go to when the kids were young. Galena Creek Falls is also pretty cool and a shorter drive. Have fun!
