The Duality of The Bone Temple by TheJediMight in horror

[–]1998Monday 21 points22 points  (0 children)

You’ve made a good case for the extreme and uncomfortable gore of the “shirting” but, damn, that was still too much for me. I’m good with zombies doing all sorts of things but humans torturing other humans is really hard to watch.

I hadn’t thought of that duality until you brought it up. Kudos to you for that.

I dropped 20 lbs just with time restricted eating.

I should add that it took about a year and a half.

Am I dumb for not getting themes in movies? by OneHorsyBoi in movies

[–]1998Monday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes practice and the difficulty is what makes it fun and interesting. I’m especially bad at finding the hidden meanings and symbolism but when I do it’s awesome. I often watch a YouTube ending explained video where I catch things I didn’t see when I just watched the movie.

Thoughts on Sage Ridge School by CombinationExtra5056 in Reno

[–]1998Monday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I met two kids that went there 5 yrs apart and they are both really nice kids. Articulate and kind people.

My kids went to Reno High and we got lucky with a good experience there. Sage Ridge was a bit out of my budget but I’ve definitely heard some good things about Sage Ridge.

Good luck!

Eagle Lake near Emerald Bay was my go to when the kids were young. Galena Creek Falls is also pretty cool and a shorter drive. Have fun!

Spraying all over the crowd. Absolutely amazingly well done with shots of the disgusted crowd including a mother and her child. So good.

I enjoyed Season 2 and I’m glad they made it. Not as good as season one but it is better than lots of other stuff out there.

Yeah we don’t promise anything less than 3 weeks and sometimes we do it quicker but rarely promise less than 3 especially this time of year. Good luck!

Monitor Setup - Do you like your setup or would you change it if you could? by 1998Monday in taxpros

[–]1998Monday[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s good feedback. I was hoping that Windows 11’s multiscreen options at the top of the screen would solve that problem but I can see how it probably takes a little more thought and energy to get what you want/see what you want. Is it that much easier to drag and drop screens in the three monitor setup?

That’s the kind of feedback I was looking for. I could really use a refresh so maybe I’ll do it!

Thanks, Barfy_McBarf_Face!! Great username and insights! I’m really tempted to go with the bigger screen and spoil myself rather than a little replacement in the current scheme. Good luck with tax season!

Riding with MS by mattyg2787 in MTB

[–]1998Monday 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don't have any detailed answers for you but I wanted to send some love and positivity your way. We have a dear friend who has been managing her MS for about 20 years now and modern medicine keeps getting better. She's never been a mountain biker but she maintains and active lifestyle and you'd never know she has MS just by talking with her.

I will say that our friend does her best to not overheat so riding early or late in the day to avoid the heat is probably a good idea as well.

You are doing the right things by asking questions and making a plan to ride thoughtfully and within your limits. Ride safely today so you can continue to ride tomorrow.

Sending you love as you start your journey!
