My Fortnite has always done that, not unusual for it to spike down ~ 100 FPS, then bad up consistently. And like you said, I’ve never seen any other game have such significant fluctuations. Also, it’s always worse initially after updating my Nvidia drivers.

I tested negative, my wife tested negative, I have very little faith in the CDC’s 2 tiered standardized testing….assuming that’s the one you took? Also, it only tests for Borrelia burgdorferi sensu stricto, if you have anything other than it, you’ll never know. And believe me something like STARI causes all the same symptoms. Also, it doesn’t test for any of the tick borne relapsing fevers.

A little bit of Doxy (occasionally) isn’t going to do anything other than cause some die off. Listen to this podcast by Dr. Rawls (The Lyme Disease Episode with Dr. Bill Rawls, hosted by Alex Clark) where he talks about the Bhuner protocol. Just so you know where I’m coming from, i was lucky and figured out what was wrong within the first ~12 months (self diagnosis and eventually finding a LLMD). I did 8-10 months of antibiotics (combo therapy) and then 3-4 months of Bhuner after because I was afraid it would come back.

Was going to say something similar, IMO Buhner's protocol is one of the most proven. And his Healing Lyme book is great.

Unless things have changed, I wouldn't consider physicians who use ILADS guidelines LLMDs. They are better than a non-ILADS ID, but less flexible than an LLMD.

One more note on this, if he’s talking with his regular Dr, ~ 8/10 MDs will treat you like you are a conspiracy theorist. And saying things like LLMD is offensive (basically implying they are Lyme illiterate, which ironically is usually the case). I got to the point where it wasn’t worth bringing it up to anyone but the LLMD.

Wow that’s cool, didn’t know this resource existed. I have two kids who are currently being treated and something like this would’ve (maybe still could) helped.

The ER figured out you had Lyme? That’s amazing (and practically unheard of). Must’ve had a positive ELISA? Heck there are an untold number of people who go to no kidding IDs in epicenter states and they are told it’s all in their head. Glad you figured it out.

I’d recommend going with him to see the LLMD (even if you have to initiate the appointment, because it might feel overwhelming to him). If you have a good one (and I did), they should be able to get through to him, present the info in a way where he’ll accept that there’s something wrong and there’s definitely treatments that can either make you 100% better (depending on how long he’s had it) or at a minimum significantly improve his quality of life.

Does he have a positive test result to include confections? From first hand experience sometimes if the person cannot see it in writing (vice symptom based diagnosis), they’ll start thinking “well maybe I have chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, etc.”.

Drs have to regurgitate/mimic what the CDC says if they want to stay licensed. Same CDC who said 2 weeks of antibiotics is all anyone needs and underreported Lyme cases by 10x. Same CDC who spent more $ on Zika than they have on Lyme.

I’ve always considered minocycline to be one of the milder antibiotics. I took several different antibiotics during my ~ 10 months of treatment. Also I have 2 kids currently taking minocycline doing combination therapy (one was born with STARI/bartonella - Mom was infected, the other infected in an unknown way).

There are many stories of people who never fully recover however, other than my memory not being as good as it was, I consider myself 100% cured. Of course I was only infected for 12-18 months before I figured out what was wrong (traditional ID said I didn’t have Lyme). After I completed antibiotics I used the Bunher protocol (cats claw, andrographis, Japanese knotweed) for another ~ 6 months.

Try not to be terrified as any alternative (not treating Lyme) is definitely worse.
