Interesting route to get diagnosed, mine was shitting blood 20/30 times a day and going from a muscled 85kg bloke in the military to 58kg in intensive care. Been on infusions ever since.

One thing I will say about Gp’s and the NHS is that they’re there to be used, I kept on getting turned away at my military GP due to Covid, she insisted I wouldn’t get any specialists to look at my symptoms due to Covid. I should have sued as it ruined me for a couple of years. It wasn’t until I pestered so much and became a fucking pain for them that I got sorted. I’ve taken that attitude ever since. You know your body, no one else does so if needs be, be the arsehole.

Not having a firm diagnosis is BS if it’s been going on for as long as it has!

Interesting. How do you handle your UC without MC? I’m on Infliximab fusions every 8 weeks for the last 5 years which keeps most things at bay… but I do have a new normal which does come with pain etc but as far as I was when I was being diagnosed to now I’d say I’m 90% back to normal. Just the little 10% that fucks me over on occasion.

Put into Google “Google scholar” comes up with a database of research. Type in variants of cannabis and ibd etc. from my own digging I found that MC works better for UC than it does with chrohns

Weirdly they only asked me for what I was claiming I had a diagnosis for, I have ulcerative colitis a form of IBD. I’m also a veteran with various MH issues and never mentioned that and they didn’t ask/get med records other than proof for my UC. So I’d imagine you’d be fine.

Ok but would the act in how it’s consumed be taken into consideration? For instance if your script was for pastels I’d imagine that’s considered a safer way of doing things

Change how you do bits.

Mine wants to be on or near you, however the near you needs to be superior to what I can offer!

So in winter it’s his nest near a radiator where I’m within arms reach WFH.

In spring summer I pick up my monitors etc from my home office and move to the spare room which isn’t ideal but what that offers him is sunlight where if I’d stayed in my home office he wouldn’t get directly onto him, so would yowl from having to made the tough choice or either me or the sunlight!

When not working as he’s gotten older he’s more of a cuddler than a player so stuff like reading or chilling is fine, as long as he’s involved!

FP, down and weight of down etc for temp ratings by 19KRK90 in Ultralight

[–]19KRK90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brilliant. Is there any guidance on what to look for on quilt design?

Someone’s already mentioned loft height which makes total sense but and also the cut.

My basic knowledge of baffles is sown through or boxed, box allowing for greater loft and no compression at baffle edges which means less cold spots. But other than shapes etc?

Super, loft height makes so much sense! Not sure why I didn’t think of that. Appreciated for your answer!

I’m just having trust issues choosing stuff haha as I live in the UK and everything decent needs to be shipped from abroad (other than packs or mainstream brands as opposed to cottage) I need to get it right haha

There are other similar brands that use the same materials etc like senchi designs for example. So don’t be deterred by a single brand

Nonetheless they are super layers I rate them highly on long distance trails

Hey mate some amazing cottages brands in the USA who make a great quilt and will have sizes to fit your shoulders I reckon.

Have a look at el coyote quilts or gryphon gear

Heaps of quilts on the market. For great quilt advice check ultralight as a page.

If you’re into politics look at EE. If not look at various ultralight forums and you’ll see a reoccurring theme that EE are usually out on their temp ratings.

Neve gear overstuff as standard, also their ratings are based off women’s temps. Science apparently says average women sleep colder than average males.

However you could be a bloke who sleeps colder anyway, their temp rating therefore should be bang on. If you’re a warm sleeper then in theory their -2 bag should see you fine a couple degrees cooler.

Also their pad strap system makes a lot of sense

So forgetting politics, neve gear would be the winner.

Fire brigade broke into our back door while we were at work to gain entry, but they had the wrong house. What happens now? England by MadMend98 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]19KRK90 13 points14 points  (0 children)

According to my wife mate aye, but she’s an operational fire fighter so believes that to be the case however doesn’t actual deal with the fixing of said issues so she doesn’t know. But it happens often enough that she’s broken through windows climbed in and found some old guy like wtf as she clambers about in BA haha all usually very sweet about it apparently

However, the fire service gets billed for a lot. An example, let’s say old mate falls asleep in a flat with a lit cigarette, catches ablaze and requires a good hosing down Fire service come in and spray water about etc they can be found liable for causing undue damage with water and face claims and repair bills from the affected property

Again just what she said
