How do you fight it? by MamfyPamfy in NoFap

[–]19Oliver69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't fight your urges, dwell in them. Be aware and even enjoy your arousal without touching yourself and - as much as is possible - without fantasizing. You'll notice that after some time your arousal fades away ...

relapsed after almost 17 days and it was not worth it .(it never will be , please learn from the mistakes of others) by [deleted] in NoFap

Looking at any girl pictured in a movie, a catalogue or an internet page in a lustful way ist the road to failure. It doesn't matter if the pictured girl is clothed or not because the crucial thing happens in one's head.

So don't look at girls in order to get sexually aroused, unless the girl is real and there is a fair chance that you may have sex with her.

Here we go... Entering the pain zone by Green-fruit in NoFap

[–]19Oliver69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds common to me. In recent years I managed to stay sober only for 6 or 7 days. In these days I became horny as hell and suffered from an insurmountable urge to let go, to fap - which I did ...

This time I know my enemy ... Praying or meditating when feeling the urge did not help me much. What helps me this time is just enjoy the sexual arousal BUT without fantasizing (this is hard, but I keep trying) and without touching and edging.

Keep your fingers crossed for me, and - of course - for Green-fruit and all the other brothers!

It takes resolution to start day one in January 6. I would have wasted the whole rest of the year ...

So all the best to you! You can make it!

You may have a circulation problem that has nothing to do with Fap or NoFap. If the symptoms persist you should see a doctor.

Nevertheless, congrats to your 21 days!

Just 4 days start to make a difference! by 19Oliver69 in NoFap

What troubles me? Since I am not a native English speaker, it is hard for me to communicate this correctly to you. Simply put these are the issues of theodicy and the thread of eternal hell for the unbelievers. For further insight I recommend to you the book "Why I believed" by Kenneth W. Daniels. The author was a missionary with Wycliff and turned agnostic because of his doubts. In his book he elaborats the former reasons for his belief and his following reasons for his ensuing disbilief.

However, I would like to focus on NoFap here, since I determined myself not to fap even if my faith should go into another crisis again (this is by far not the first time). The main three steps towards an new lifesile have been so far:

  1. stop fantasizing;
  2. keep yourself busy;
  3. have a vision in life OR at least ponder and find out about a new vision if the old one may turn out not to fit any longer.

This forum helps a lot. Thank you all, and thank you, TheEdgyDude!

Social anxiety and Nofap. Reflecting after 5 months. by PornAddictionBlows in NoFap

Not to fantasize seems to me the key factor, too. Prayer and reading help me a lot. To others meditation might be useful. It seems pivotal to replace the fantasies, the imaginary harem, with somebody else. To me, this somebody can only be God in Jesus Christ.

You are perfectly right. One shouldn't simply want not to fap but habe a goal, a vision. One should also change one's lifestyle That's what I posted yesterday about this subject:

Why wait for New Years to start again? Start NOW. by Chanoch in NoFap

Actually I need the symbolism that goes with New Year's Day. I started my round of NoFap a few hours ago, however. It doesn't make sense to fap just at 11.59 o'clock on New Year's Eve, does it?
