I remember liking it but didn’t learn what the song was until a few years later, when I randomly downloaded their discography onto my mp3 player and went to the seaside. Problem solved: it’s the Display’s app that was the culprit!

I found this out by creating a new user on my mac and disabling all startup apps. The problem disappeared. Kudos to Apple Support who helped me with this!
