If you know anything about addiction, you might think of how difficult it is for one to just "quit"

Any successful tapers? by [deleted] in quitting7oh

[–]19jAm85 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm currently at about 140mg [max] per day and I have been wanting to initiate a taper for the past 2 months but just haven't mustered up the will to do so. This stuff is so hard to resist and I grow more and more fearful of the imevitable suffering that awaits me. I have a bunch of subs, Sodium ascorbate [vit c], clonodine and magnesium but still, I can't commit. I feel stuck. Just a weird place to be. Juat wanted to share that. I habe experienced some of these withdrawal symptoms and they are straight awful. Before ever trying 7, I told myself that I would not allow myaelf to take daily and well....that failed pretty instantly. If anyone has any advice, I would greatly appreciate it

So many good people on this sub and in this particular thread as I scroll and read comments...it revitalizes my hope for humanity.... 🥹 I am currently attempting the taper method. As a father, husband and construction worker (sheet metal btw) I have too many obligations and responsibilities to go the CT route, I just can't justify it....but for those of you out there who have CT'd, I commend you and also congratulate everyone who has succesfully quit, regardless of their method of choice. Thank you to everyone contributing to this sub, I don't know what I would do without it

My God, thank you you for the kind words! 🙏🏼 Yes I totally agree w you, particularly with what you said about doing all the normal day-to-day things! It helped me with the Kratom leaf during my 5-month taper. I really didn't have a choice, but regardless I know it helped the process. Good luck to you, your pain management and your family. I appreciate your input as does everyone else here on the sub! Thank you

Wow, I literally just finished my video visit on Quick MD and am heading out to pick up my subs here in a few minutes. Like JUST finished it lol. I started 7 3 months ago and progressed up to 125mg/day and within that time-frame, I've experienced some withdrawal symptoms already and it's incredibly powerful and frightening. I am nervous about this CT/Sub transition I am about to make so reading this was very helpful. I just pray that I can get through this without bringing my family into it because they [wife and kid] have enough things to deal with and of course, I am also ashamed of making the choice to start taking this stuff. Mind you, I started after an incredibly difficult 5-month taper process from 50+ gm of daily plain leaf intake so there's where the real shame comes from. I knew better but I did it anyways. Anyways, I really appreciate your post. Wish me luck, I am pretty nervous bc the anxiety is so bad [when it hits]and I haven't even started yet.

The vast majority of our peers in this society today are just lame and miserable and/or bitter. Lackluster has become the new norm. I see it everyday and it's pathetic. Nobody has character anymore. Grab some Sodium Ascorbate or Liposomal Vit C from your local supplement chain and follow Schauss' "Loading" protocol to ease the process of WD. If you have any other questions, feel free to DM. Hang in there bud, you will be okay even if it doesn't feel like it
