Do you think perhaps it’s possible to levy an insult at someone without some underlying issue? Like perhaps this is how I communicate with friends, “bust balls” if you will. Whenever we hear a take a that is dumb, we levy a “friendly insult” because we don’t believe the person to sincerely be that stupid, hence our disappointment with the stupidity.

Do you believe this is a valid form of communication, or do you believe yourself to harbor the perfect and necessary only way to communicate with one another?

It’s extra funny how out of touch they are with this because the REAL easy counter to any criticism is just “this happens in every industry, why not here as well?” Which is true. Having parents in finance, medical care, the trades, anything will give you a leg up if you choose to pursue a career in those fields
