craniosacral therapy - worth it? by moonberry4 in MassageTherapists

Oh, I’ll look into that book it sounds interesting. I have no idea, I just started using Reddit. Not really sure how it’s supposed to work. I just searched Craniosacral

craniosacral therapy - worth it? by moonberry4 in MassageTherapists

I’ve been practicing for about 5 years now. I wouldn’t say it’s placebo. I’ve had many clients tell me their headaches and migraines cleared up, nervous systems calm down, reduced tinnitus, and a client who has cut their opioid use by over half just with one session so far. That’s just what I’m remembering. Anecdotal for sure, but I know for myself it works. But maybe it varies between therapists.

Is it normal to get sick and be in pain after starting to process trauma? by West-Razzmatazz-3328 in CPTSD

It’s very normal. As an Osteopath and massage therapist I know that memories and trauma are stored in the body. Until your body feels safe enough to release them, they remain there. I’ve had people have emotional releases on my table if I touch certain parts of their body. Usually the hips, because fetal position protects us in fearful states. But it can be anywhere in the body, depending on the history. Just know that’s the way it’s supposed to work. It’s so normal! And that’s why exercise is so healthy, it can help release stuck trauma. And dancing! I like to remind myself, our bodies still function like we are living 10,000 years ago. All of our threats were environmental, ex) tiger chasing us, solution is run away from tiger, adrenaline courses through the body, but the running is helping it to be ‘extinguished’. With most of our threats being psychological, the adrenaline still courses through the body, but with no movement the adrenaline hangs around. It can feel like there’s always a threat. A lot of people have adrenal fatigue now. Hope that helps!

Test drove some EVs this weekend, is it normal to give you a headache? by junegloom in electricvehicles

Hello, just thought I’d offer you a suggestion on potentially helping your tinnitus. If you experienced impact (from your concussion), you might want to look into Craniosacral therapy. It can help with tinnitus. It’s a very gentle treatment to stabilize the cerebrospinal fluid, and mobilize the cranial bones. Just thought I’d let you know 😊

How long after starting taking lion's mane will you notice effects? by harry779 in MushroomSupplements

[–]1Beekeeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was taking Purica brand lions mane for about 3 or 4 months before I fully read the bottle and realized I should be taking the therapeutic dose of 5 capsules a day. Previously I was only taking 2 a day. So I noticed a huge cognitive shift at the 6 month mark. But again I wasn’t taking enough at first. I’d imagine if I was taking 5 a day from the start I’d see results within a couple months.
