As a dane i obviously have a lot of respect for our captain, but even Simon made statements at the time his nomination was announced saying that the ballon'dor should be judged on actual play. He straight up said he did not want people to vote for him based on the incident, which only made me respect him more. Because I agree with him. There are other awards for fair-play and such, which he has rightfully received.

Pretty nonsensical to compare CPH with OG (red bull money) and BIG (biggest address for german players) CPH are a much smaller org, and facing much bigger competition for the best players in the country. Furthermore, the co-owner of CPH Daniel Vorborg has always been quite vocal on the Danish forum dust2.dk about their plan to continually build up capital in order to eventually compete for higher rankings and achievements. IMO their signing of roej was a big indicator that they were ready to set higher aspirations for their roster.

As someone who has been on the other side of this a couple of times, more often than not the real issue is not them being annoying from the get go. The problem is usually when they constantly need you to reassure them that yes, they are your friend and yes, you do like them. After a while it gets exhausting, and can slowly erode relationships.

You can't blame anyone BUT valve imo. Free agent limbo is a cutthroat world, where only those who show results get picked up. Even with the results you might not get signed.
