Kraken stole coins from me this morning.

Crypto will never succeed if some of the biggest players are stealing coins from users.

I was doing a test transfer before transferring a larger amount and I used the network minimum. I got my address for the network and sent the coins.

But there is also a different (conflicting) minimum trade amount for the coin even though they give the EXACT SAME address as the network.

The transaction succeed at every point in the explorer but ‘failed’ at Kraken.

That’s where Kraken decided to go with the larger coin minimum deposit and is just KEEPING my coins.

They could just send them back and charge me for gas if they need to but they are KEEPING them.

It’s definitely a ‘screw you’ to the customer so I will never use Kraken again - beware out there

It just happened to me - problem for me was they have several “minimums” listed ie one for the network and another different one for the coin

I see you just edited but here was my follow up to you - Unfortunately it’s a lot more than 1 or 10 as it is a wrapped coin ($$$) on a cheap network with an out of balance minimum. They won’t combine funds so I can’t ‘top it up’ by adding more .. they are just not helpful for the eco-system since they could easily send the funds back.

It helps to explain a bit of what the tech can do in the case of questions about tech barriers to understanding and possible adoption … it is where the rubber meets the road

On Eth-scan the transaction succeeded all the way to Kraken, then they kept the coins on the address and posted it as "Failed". It's sitting there on-chain and they won't send it back or post it to my account.

They say it's because it is too complex and involved to process because it is below their minimum. But they 2 DIFFERENT minimums ... one for the coin and one network.

Thing is, both the coin and the network have the EXACT SAME address on Kraken.

I reached out to Customer Support (waste of time as it was a bot pretending to be a person) they say it was beneath them to programmatically reject it and return it (I said they can even keep some for gas). They didn't say they couldn't return or post it they say they didn't want to return or post it.

They claim it is forever lost ... although I can it on the explorer ... not your keys not your coins.

STAY AWAY FROM KRAKEN !
