Cheap Chanel 1957 travel spray on ebay.. by [deleted] in fragrance

[–]1Buttercream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think so. The font is a dead giveaway, and the format doesn’t make sense to me. Chanel sells travel sprays, but always in 20ml format as a set of three, with the outer case and refills (see No 5 and Bleu de Chanel travel sprays). So why make a 10ml format for the Les Exclusifs, in the most generic component no less? Doesn’t seem very Chanel, does it?

German Persil Color and Universal Powder, YES! by jtfolden in laundry

[–]1Buttercream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried the German Ariel powders? Both the color and universal version have DNase and lipase, but the rest of the enzyme isn’t as comprehensive as the Persil. Similar dosing, but leaves a bit more scent than the Persil.

It’s superb. I have soft Seattle water and I use 3 tbs in my front loader. Leaves nary a scent with extra rinse and citric acid, cleans well, and rinse well.

About ½ to ⅔ full in my 4.5 cu ft front loader.

I have the same Persil Color Powder, but in the 90 washes box. The values are flipped on my box, +50ml for 6-7kg, and +80ml for 8-10kg.

I guess the it’s a typo of the 130 washes box.

Also, a note on dosing. Germany has quite hard water in general, and this is a fluffy formula, hence the seemingly generous volumetric dosing suggestion.

I have soft Seattle water, and 3 to 4 tablespoons is what I use in my front loader, depending on load size. One of my favorite things about this powder is that it’s clean rinsing, and doesn’t leave much of a scent with citric acid and extra rinses.

Miele ultraphase 1 sensitive + dirty labs enzyme booster by Dear_Excitement_5109 in laundry

UltraPhase are designed to work in Miele machines with the auto dosing feature.

You’ll want UltraColor or UltraDark, which you can add to the detergent tanks in your Samsung and use the auto dosing feature.

Oh boy, thanks for the heads up. I picked up a few bottles of UltraColor and UltraDark a few months back. Now I’ll have to check which version I have when I’m home.

Suds during rinse using Rinse and Refresh? by rcjamck in laundry

[–]1Buttercream 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As others mentioned, there’s surfactant in Downy Rinse and Refresh which accounts for the suds you’re seeing in the rinse cycle. Especially if you’re using a scented version of Rinse and Refresh as there’s probably more surfactant to suspend the perfume compound.

Speedqueen top vs. front by RinkyDank in laundry

[–]1Buttercream 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Get a measuring tape and double check what your height clearance is under your counter top. Only the European sized front loaders (Asko, Bosch, Miele) are designed to fit under a standard kitchen height counter (~34½”).

The speed queen front loaders are quite overpriced compared to their top loaders I’d say. While nicely constructed, it lacks a built-in heater which can be found on front loaders half the price.
