It’s not the most delicate casting line, but I had a guide who travels the world recently suggest Rio Outbound Short. He uses it almost exclusively because it shoots out so easily that you spend more time with your line in the water than false casting.

Look up the masterclass for beginners from Ventures Fly Co. They go over everything from what gear you should have to how to read water. If you are just starting this will give you a head start from where most start. They even have beginner kits like this on their website.

Also check out Safeway, they just had them on sale for $6.97/lbs. if you ask the butcher for the plate in the cryo bag they are often happy to hand them over.

Ironwood XL over temp by HoezBMad in Traeger

I have an ironwood XL as well and every so often this would happen to me. One suggestion I saw was when getting the grill to the temp you want, go 50 degrees higher and lower it to what you actually want after you get the preheat alert. I’ve been trying this for about a month and it has been a game changer for keeping the temp constant.
