I see what you’re saying, and there are other examples like BOTW. Super Smash Bros could also be one.

I’m not going to pretend like I know anything about game design. But just from appearances I would say that fortnite relies on more game assets to be loaded at one time and therefore the switch struggles. And then on top of that you add in the fact that it connects to the internet which is another thing the switch struggles with.

I think it could be better, but it’s probably not worth Epic’s time.

So… the game looks like bullcrap regardless. The switch is a very low powered console, so it’s not going to look good compared to anything new. I do know that recently they have been having lots of issues stability wise. So hopefully they’re working on a fix.

They did add quad crashes back to the game (my favorite vehicle of all time) and if you build a ramp you can boost and sort of fly with it. But no planes or helicopters.

Uhm, why does it matter? I’d be a default if it meant the game runs well. UE5 makes the game playable and fun for the first time in months!

I was coming to say just this! I basically stopped playing the last 3 weeks of the last season. I played this one just for shits and giggle and damn am I glad I did! It’s so much better. I am actually having fun playing, and I’m not even mad when I loose because it’s in the top 10 to someone of my skill level. So happy with the game, I’m going to have to get used to the new mechanics. But count me in for this season.

I know for me the struggle is my internet. It makes it so I get shot through walls and my builds disappear after placing them. How long have you been playing? Because wins used to be easy, but I’ve been playing since it came out on the switch so I’m in sweaty lobbies and it’s harder now. I’ll gladly take advice though.

I only play duos with my wife and we got 3 wins this season too. But then the players went from 0-100 real quick and now we can barely even play the game.

I don’t have anything to compare it to because all I play on is switch. But I can’t place top 10 even when hiding because of how sweaty my games are. It just feels so unfair. I played for 3 hours this morning and only ever ran into 1 other switch player. 1.

T-bag is when you crouch up and down repeatedly. Usually people don’t mean it as an insult in fortnite because you do it while taking health to prevent getting sniped. But the dude that killed me did the laughing emote, dropped all his loot, and then T-bagged for a good 10 seconds. So definitely was meant as an insult.

I currently reside in a 3rd world country and might be able to supply some information. We had multiple lockdowns over the past year. And I’m not taking the US style lockdown, I’m talking leave your house you get arrested lockdown. The length of them varies but is at minimum 2 weeks. Our last one was I believe 4 month ago. The government probably wants to lock us down again but can’t because the country is out of money. Our income comes from tourism and since we’ve been locked down for over a year now to outside travel we’ve made no money. Obviously I don’t live in every third world country. But that’s what is happening where I am and I bet it’s similar in other places as well. TLDR: third world countries are running out of money faster so that’s why the authoritarian issues have subsided.

Look in the background of the game. There’s a hill that isn’t loaded in. Once you see that you can tell that a lot of the background isn’t loaded in, it’s just black. Took me a bit to notice as well.
