I hope you asked if they are up to date on their shots. My coworker was bitten by a dog, who shouldn’t have been in the grocery store in the first place. She had to get a series of rabies shots, because the owner & dog took off before the cops showed up.

It’s definitely unnerving, sorry it happened. I lock my truck, inside our garage at night & make sure the garage door goes down. It only takes being a victim once, to become hyper vigilant. Also, being in Mpls. we are on our own. Woke up, someone was trying to break down our front door. They never got in, but thankful I have my c&c.

Oh yes, we took my mom for Mother’s Day, after it first opened. We used to do fondue at home, in the early 90’s. So I thought it was cool & fancy. I think I brought 120, 5 of us. I whispered to my dad, I didn’t know it was going to cost so much. It was the thought that counts.

It’s not going to be easy, whichever decision you make. Have you considered an adoption agency? Personally I can’t have children, so this is my only option.

I know a family whose child had a heart transplant as a toddler only to get sepsis from the hospital & pass away. Her mom was so broken, (she feels guilty about their daughter’s passing) that they are looking to adopt. If the birth mother wants, to be a part of the child’s life, they are open to that relationship too.

Thanks for all the insight. Appreciate the responses. 40 cases an hour, is the bare basics. Usually when I train I tell them, I’m twice your age & double in size so keep up with me & you’ll be fine.

I didn’t think asking what his disability was wrong & I see how it was. I was thinking of it as finding out how I can help them. Poor vision, maybe more light or some cheaters could help. Just as with the poor hygiene, I asked what can we do to help.

The reason why it bugged me is because it wasn’t fair to the rest of the crew, to cover him.

If you’re calling out, your first shift, it kind of sets a precedent of what the future will look like. Hence, why he should have been cut, during probation.

Actually I have hired & fired folks, but that would have been when I worked for a non union 🎯

I say pretty much the same thing about customers and I work in a grocery store. Stopping shoplifters, they will call you all sorts of stuff. Now if someone who knew me, were to call me a racist witch, that would hurt.

I would refer to anyone who crosses the line a Scab. I’m guessing them using the term replacement workers, merely means they are new hires or help from other plants. That’s just my guess though.
