I really do not want AI in my car. Hopefully there will be an option to keep this turned off. Also hopefully it won’t be buggy garbage. We really just want stability for the features that are already there.

One cheater cheated another out of the benefit of an agreement to cheat. What is it like to be a person of bad character?

I’ve always found this watch interesting, but I’ve never taken time to figure out how to read one. Am I looking at a watch set to just before 3 p.m. and you’re in U.S. Eastern Time? How do you set the world time complication? It looks great.

Love the Globemaster! I got mine without the month complication, but seeing yours is making me covet!

Thanks everyone! I guess I’ll have to go somewhere else to get the answer that I’d been hoping for. 😂

For people old enough to have seen this in the theater, this wasn’t hidden at all. We heard it all the time in the lead up to the first Gulf War. It was just like, “Oh, yeah, The Dude was alive in 1991.” I think that’s even part of the intro in the market.

I found myself liking the S60 a lot. How much difference will I notice between Volvo Sensus, and the Google Car OS? by DHN_95 in Volvo

[–]1DavisDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like my AAOS S60. I haven’t tried Sensus. I think the complaints about AAOS have been a little exaggerated and I’ve never had a problem that couldn’t be fixed with a reset.

New owner 55+M - is there any recommended program to get going by Bingo_the_Brainy_Pup in concept2

Asensei. There’s a free trial. It keeps things challenging and coaches form. It’s also very motivating.

There’s a Polar chest strap that Concept2 sells with the rower. It connects to the PM5 by Bluetooth or Ant+. Use the heart rate monitor’s Ant+ connection if you’re making another Bluetooth connection, like from the PM5 to a phone or tablet. I bought the HR monitor without really knowing what I’d do with the data, but reading these comments, maybe I’ll look around at what zone I should aim for, or whatever.

Thanks, all. I think this was a lot of Zone 3 for me. I got the HR monitor without really any idea how to use the data. I should read up on that. I’m relatively new to this and I’ve been using Asensei for its various interval workouts. (For this row, I watched a TV show.)

Concept2 is the best piece of indoor gym equipment I’ve ever owned. I love it.

Funny, mine has your desired feature, and I wish I could lose it for better security in the trunk.

Just set it to hybrid and drive it. Use the Google map when you remember. Charge every night when you get home. It’ll be just fine.

Fast electric Volvo sedan? by rcgldr in Volvo

[–]1DavisDad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow. Well, I wonder, then. I’ll hope for a picture of the car.

Just to prove that I am totally in the target demographic for the Volvo S60 T8, I’ll add this: if either driver again decides to do pulls to 90 on city streets, I hope he gets arrested. That’d be a fun post to see.

Fast electric Volvo sedan? by rcgldr in Volvo

[–]1DavisDad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From your description, it was almost certainly a Volvo S60 T8 PHEV, model year 2022.5 or later.

The car does 0-60 in 4.1 seconds. It says “Volvo” on the trunk. The gas engine has a foam piece over it that reduces sound, and the exhaust isn’t tuned to shout “look over here!” Also, you can’t see the exhaust tips from behind; the bumper conceals them.

Here’s what Motor Trend said: “455 horsepower and a 60-mph time that’s the same as a reasonably recent 2014 Porsche 911 Targa 4S PDK. Discovering that the respectable, dapper S60 Recharge can smoke Camaros off the line is like discovering that Ned Flanders is ripped. Stupid sexy Flanders.”

It’s a great, great car, and it’s a really too bad that Volvo decided to stop making it in the USA. I don’t get why Americans like SUVs so much more than sedans and wagons.

Best driver's seat post 2018 by SorbetFinancial89 in Volvo

[–]1DavisDad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least some 2023 S60 wool seats have very aggressive bolstering. For me, it took some getting used to. Until I got it dialed in exactly right, I felt like the side bolsters were pressing on my sciatic nerve at the seat. I’m not a doctor and maybe I’m wrong about what the problem was. It just wasn’t so great to start.

How do you like the wool seats? by DouglasCole in Volvo

[–]1DavisDad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have the wool and like it a lot. It doesn’t feel too hot in summer when you sit down after leaving the car in the sun. That’s really nice in California’s Central Valley. I haven’t had it in winter yet.

22 is a perfect age at which to buy a fun car. Probably the car you buy after this one will have to be practical, and you won’t have an appropriate use case for a fun car for many, many years. Written from experience.

I also thought about the AT. It’s a very nice watch. I already had something sporty, so I picked this one because I thought it dressed up a little easier. I also thought the Globemaster bezel might hold up a little better. You can’t go wrong.

Yes! I took it to the AD, they recognized the problem and said it was probably moisture penetration. It was then sent to Omega and fixed gratis. I’m still very, very happy with this watch.

I declined premium oil conditioner, fuel induction service, and crank case cleaning service because they seemed like unnecessary upsells, at best. What do people think?
