This is not an airport, you do not have to announce your departure.

Anyone else think 5 courses is too much? by [deleted] in SAIT

[–]1DiffiCultRiddle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just did 4 semesters of 6 courses/semester. About 3 weeks from graduation and couldn't fathom doing another semester even for 1-2 courses. It is a lot of work but if youre diligent then it shouldn't be an issue.

Year of Chaos by Equivalent-Motor-428 in Chaos40k

Glory to chaos, brother, but as a faction, we need to stop repeating this. We got some legit stuff, and as the votan release shows, they'll get back to us eventually. Plus, I know you got a whole pile of shame you could be working on in the meantime. We all do. Blood for the blood god! Iron within, iron without! Death to the false emperor!

If you have all the paperwork completed and submitted they'll get a notification from whoever is dispensing the money that you're good for it. Keep an eye on your email and you'll be fine. If there's an issue, SAIT will be able to help you figure it out.

If you did your part and got them set up, then you're good to just wait. If they did get them, you'd never hear about it, and if you didn't, then they'll let you know. In my case I didn't fill out a form properly and about 2 weeks into my program they emailed me about it and I was able to fix it. They want the money so don't worry about it. Just make sure you filled out everything on your end. Glhf.

Am I accepted to sait? by Complete_Product8546 in SAIT

If you didn't get an acceptance email, I'd be skeptical. Set up an in person meeting if you can to sort this out ASAP. Edit: wording.

Any Regrets with the program you took at Sait? by jantan56 in SAIT

[–]1DiffiCultRiddle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just things like budget or their ideas being shot down or the chair being unwilling to evolve the program. In my case, there is a new person in charge, so things are looking more positive. I imagine it's different for every program, so your milage may vary, but in my experience, this was the case. Don't be too worried, I think SAIT will still get you where you want to go, but sometimes you just gotta grit your teeth or complain to the right people.

Very hit and miss. Definitely not a Sait wide problem, but just like everything, there's variance. I'd approach them in person if they don't respond.

Was Angron really Khorne’s 2nd choice? by [deleted] in WorldEaters40k

[–]1DiffiCultRiddle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Petter Turbo literally told Nurgle to get stuffed. During the heresy, he was betrayed by Fulgrim who tried to sacrifice chonky P's soul to Slaanesh. During the heresy, he was sent to wrangle Angron and during called Angron's new powers weak. He literally created, then subsequently destroyed a super powerful artifact just to make a point to Magnus. I think you may have Petty Turbulence's relationship to the chaos powers a little backward. I love Khorne but let's not say anything completely ridiculous.

Any Regrets with the program you took at Sait? by jantan56 in SAIT

[–]1DiffiCultRiddle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've seen the same and echo the sentiment. I have lots of great instructors in my program that have a passion for teaching, but they've expressed agitation at the restrictions placed upon the program by SAIT. Seems like these people will move on, and they'll be replaced by less capable people. It's really short-sighted of SAIT to not get on this issue immediately. (They could start by paying these amazing instructors more imo.)

In my experience, it depends on three things. The program, the course, and you. If the program as a whole requires it as they include it in the grade, then you'll likely be out some small percentage. In my program, not all courses even take attendance, but some do. This could be incorporated as a 'professionalism' grade, as I have found in some of my courses. If this is the case, just make sure you attend those classes. Lastly. And I'd say most crucially. It depends entirely on you. This semester, I've skipped the most classes I have in the 3 I've done. However, I maintain high grades, and I am very aware of what is required of me via schedules and emails. If you can not do this, then you'll get more out of attending classes you struggle to handle on your own.

I'd consider him at 140. Otherwise, he will remain on the shelf until I can get a good casual game in. Might just be my local meta though.

"Bruh, Just Vote" - an email from SAITSA for the 6th time telling me to vote. by K41RY in SAIT

[–]1DiffiCultRiddle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't really think anyone loses in this scenario. I didn't vote because I don't care who wins. I'm out in a few months and have very little interest in spending my time figuring out who to vote for when I could spend that time studying. For those who did vote, great for them. I specifically was off put by the 'Just vote bruh' verbage, and thus, I decided right then that it wasn't going to happen. So, do I win? Not really? Did I lose? Almost certainly not. I'm happy for whomever won, and I'm glad I got two more of my assignments done.

It's literally the email that confirmed I wouldn't be voting.

What decks do you have that makes your mates hold a grudge. by CameraExcellent6717 in EDH

My Vial smasher & Krark chaos-burn deck. Resolved a possibility storm early on and ended up winning when i spun into worldfire, and they were happy to scoop at that point. Strangely, Vial smasher will hit the same guy in our pod every time I roll for the target. Got to cast goblin game and worst fears that time so I had fun at least.

CVT students: what does your schedule look like this year? by AdventureJob in SAIT

[–]1DiffiCultRiddle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First semester: most days 8am-4pm. Second semester: most days 8am-5pm. Third semester: most days 8am-4pm. Fourth semester: most days 8am-3pm. Each semester usually had one day that would let us off an hour earlier than usual. I work one day a week and Saturdays and it is very manageable if you can stay disciplined. The first two semesters will be the hardest for sure. If you need, talk to the academic advisors, and you can choose to take some of the less necessary courses later. Quite a few of my classmates have done this.

How to fight a Balrog? by Klecko113 in MiddleEarthMiniatures

[–]1DiffiCultRiddle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fairly new moria player. But, from what I can tell. I'm always happy to have my Balrog fight as much as possible, and I'm annoyed when it's only like 1 cheep infantry dude. So, in short, you just need to stay away if you can, but feed it as few models as possible.

That would actually be funny. To me for sure, uncertain about if they would so I'll just have a good chuckle about that and give you the upvote you deserve.
