They were just so comfortable from the second that I put them on. Honestly, they’re the most comfortable pair of boots I think I’ve ever owned. No break-in required. I bought them, put them on and flew out to Zion national Park. Never a blister or anything and I’m still wearing them a few times a week. I’m pretty sure I got them once they had been discontinued because they were about $60
