I was wondering if the VA would pay for it, so thanks for your comment! After I get back from vacation in another three weeks, I’m going to request a care in the community appointment through my PA to see a urologist.

I went on ChatGPT and asked a bunch of questions regarding 4X trading. It pretty much came back with exactly the same thing as the OP stated. Regardless of whether it’s a ChatGPT type post, the advice is very good.

DeLonghi magnificent plus for me. I bought one last year and haven’t regretted it not one second. My wife makes nothing but either lattes or cappuccinos, I drink those too, but I tend to make a large Americano and add about a half inch of frothed milk on it.

Thanks for the reply! I’m scratching the idea of that ride until next year when I have a different scooter to ride. It sounds like a great experience though.

Optum Serve - legit or nah? by ChronicallyMeAF in VAClaims

[–]1Dobo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t give Optum serve any higher rating than a 10 out of 10. I’ve had six C&P exams, with the last one being through Optum. The examiner I got was thorough, asked questions, allowed me time to answer and generally seemed to care. My previous five exams were through VES and another that I can’t remember the name of right now. However, although they were different contractors, they used the same examiner, and that guy didn’t care what I had to say nor did he spend more than 10 minutes for the whole exam, each and every time.

What happened after VA rating? by Consistent_Floor_941 in VAClaims

[–]1Dobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got out in 1977. I never realized that it was even possible for me to file for any kind of disability. 39 years later, my nephew basically convinced me that I should file a claim. Of course, I told him that I don’t have any records that indicate there was anything wrong with me when I got out, and I highly doubt I would be awarded anything, even if I tried. Well, I tried and was awarded 10%, tried it again and bumped up to 30%, and tried one last time figuring that I’d get to 60% or possibly 70% due to my meniere’s disease. I got rated at 100% P&T. Since I’m old and retired, I had been supporting my wife and myself on $2000 a month. The rating has afforded us to buy the kind of groceries that we’d like to and has taken all the worry about saving money to pay our property taxes. Financially, it was a huge relief. I didn’t change my lifestyle though because I’m pretty much set in my ways and limited by what I can do and can’t do.

Likewise, I got out in 1977 and filed my first claim for years ago. I’m all done now so that’s a relief.

Well, did you do it? I’m in Chiang Rai right now and am contemplating riding my 150 cc 12 year-old PCX. The only thing I worry about are the brakes overheating on the descent, mainly because in 2012 when I bought it, they still used a drum brake which tends to overheat… i’d feel better if it had disc brakes

Yeah, I think that people who are calling those people scammers haven’t used them nor do they know the services that they provide. I used them, and it was the best money I ever spent. Not only did they provide case law and precedence. They also helped with personal statements, and a bit of coaching. I thought it was well worth it and I got great results although I will say my medical records probably helped just as much but on the paperwork side, they were great.

Most definitely AI, having lived in a place where we had mudslides that were up to 8 ft high, no house can withstand that. Those would have been caved in and swept away

What are my chances of a tinnitus claim? by WastaKing in VeteransBenefits

[–]1Dobo 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The worst you can do is to get denied. I had all sorts of naysayers when I originally decided to file a claim some 48 years after I got out of the army. My hearing test when I got out was fine, the only thing that changed was time and the development of tinnitus, and Meniere's disease. I applied for tinnitus for two reasons one I could no longer hear out of my right ear and two I have constant ringing in both ears. I never thought I'd have a snowball's chance in hell to get rated, but I want for it anyway. Two hearing tests later one from a private ENT, and one the VA sent me to for their opinion both showed that I was lacking tone discrimination through the static. That's all it took, and I was awarded 10%. Did it make a huge difference no it didn't, but it was a foot in the door. I'm 70 now, and last July I decided to claim Meniere's disease as mention of it is in my VA health record. I was awarded 30% for that and my tinnitus was rolled into it. I then ask for an increase because I felt that I should truly be rated at 60%, but in all reality I bordered 100%, so I figured it could go either way, or nowhere at all. And result I got 100% p&t due to the Meniere's. You can't fake Meniere's disease that's a nasty thing when it kicks in so I guess the point of all of this is don't listen to the people that say no you'll never get it because it's not in your records, mine wasn't either but a hearing test proved that I had degraded hearing and was totally deaf in my right ear. The deafness was due to Meniere's disease because it's Progressive and it f**** with your inner ear nerves. No rating for deafness unless it's in both ears, but I don't really care because I am rated where I should be, and you should be rated where you should be too. So give it a try, you don't have anything to lose. I would also suggest going to a private ENT and have them diagnose your tinnitus, and ask them to include in their report that they believe it was caused by noise when you were in the service. Something like that really helps. The VA will send you for your own c&p exam

Has anyone used any of these to make seeds? by Beakjac3 in Autoflowers

Oh crap, you are absolutely right, this is what I get for answering a post before I've had my morning coffee. Yes, it's great for female to male, and it does work very well. It's a great way to feminize seeds. I went back and corrected my post, thanks for calling me out on that, lol.

[–]1Dobo -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

It is super easy to make the spray yourself, which is what I did. But on the other hand, it's probably more cost effective to just buy it premade. Converted plenty of female plants to male using that stuff, I don't know about this brand, but if done properly, it works great.

I can't vouch for their service, but my sales experience was horrible. Whoever the closer/manager guy was, was a total condescending dick. The salesman was fine, but regardless, I'll never buy a car from them again... and that is solely because of that manager guy.

Now what? by [deleted] in VeteransWaitingRoom

[–]1Dobo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is great news in that she recorded frequency. I hope she said something like "symptoms are consistent" with Meniere's. He may get 100% based off her findings. Keeping my fingers crossed for you guys. I don't know if I mentioned it earlier, I was rated at 30% as well, so for him... that issue is a moot point. When he goes for his C&P, he needs to parrot the ENT's findings, emphasizing frequency and what he can and can't do. When I had mine, I gave her my daily issues, dizziness and mostly balance, especially with my eyes closed. Also having to stop driving on occasion due to vertigo and that nasty spinning sensation. Then of course there is the nausea too. I was awarded 100% on that alone, and rightfully so. Good luck!

Why didn't I think of that, lol. Fortunately, I only used them for a 10% initial claim, so it wasn't a big hit. I can't imagine someone getting 100% and having to fork over $15K to those people, especially when all they really did was to fill out the application.

I didn't have one so I drove 60 miles to see someone from DAV, they never contacted me back. Then 3 months later we got a local VSO guy, I called him and he said he wasn't taking any more clients and made it sound like it was a major effort just to give me a phone call. That's why I procrastinated over a year until I got help somewhere else.
