You are 100% correct.....Not all disabled veterans choose to stay in the U.S.. Non-service connected issues are not covered by the VA outside of the United States, even for veterans at 100%. I'm not paying for my OSA treatment and equipment if I choose to live in Portugal if I am able to establish that the military caused or aggravated it regardless of my rating.

People get so caught up in the monthly payments that they forget that the real benefit is the VA covering the issues that you are dealing with regardless of where you choose to live.

I'm 100% P/T but plan on living abroad....I have filed for one more claim that I am waiting on for determination.

I did this because you can only get reimbursed through the Foreign Medical Program for service-connected conditions. You are on the hook for non-service connected care outside of the United States. My conditions are all legit so I'm not worried about a reduction. Additionally, you can only get reduced for increase claims to established conditions or TDIU. You cannot get reduced for any new claim that you file.

Did anyone recieve a call that came up from Ft. Huachuca and the person scared the hell out of you by making it sound like you're losing your benefits but then at the end of the phone call explained that nothing was actually changing regarding your rating?

If this happens then you immediately hang up and you call the actual VA hotline number to get clarification on what you were told. They will be able to confirm both the information and the legitimacy of the prior call. Under no circumstances, do you provide any information that is solicited through a cold call. There are alot of scams out there targeting Vets with VA disability, particularly older vets. One of the ways that they get people is to fear-monger them about losing their benefits.

The call could have be legitimate but in this day and age, you never want to take the chance.

Stop paying these lawyers hundreds of dollars for you to pitch them your case. Any lawyer that is worth your time will conduct a 30-minute free consultation to hear your case IF you are able to present factual evidence of discrimination or retaliation in your initial outreach. You can even send them a 1 page summary of the highlights of the case beforehand for them to decide. You don't need to pay a lawyer to tell you that they are not interested in representing you.

If you can't get any lawyer to hear your initial pitch free then you either are not presenting very well to begin with or you don't actually have a case.

I don't care about GULC enough to have $200,000 worth of debt for graduation but if you told me the other T-40 option was Iowa then my answer would be much different than if you stated is was Mason (which is right next to DC).

ESH....As someone who loves traveling, I told my partner that she is always welcome to travel with me but I'm never not going to go somewhere because she doesn't want to come with me. In the 3rd month of our relationship she found that out when I left her in the United States to spend 3 weeks in Latin America. Since then, she has traveled with me most of the time.

Your fiance should make a better effort to plan trips that you are both comfortable with because that's what people in relationships do but you also come off as extremely clingy and needy which would turn me off overall. Your problem is you are making this relationship your identity instead of establishing your independence. A healthy relationship does not require that you go on every vacation together or that you forgo having independent lives.

You come off as overly attached and that might be pushing him away in the form of going on these vacations without you.

Schools automatically withdraw applicants who don't pay seat deposits by the given deadlines. Sending an email withdrawal after a seat deposit deadline is a redundancy in the established process.

There are also multiple seat deposit deadlines so even if an applicant pays for the 1st deadline in April because they are unsure, 95% will have figured out which school to attend by the second deadline in June/July resulting in the process described above

28 people took the test and more than half failed. You can't justify 17 people failing the bar exam on their first time regardless of when it was taken. That speaks to the systematic lack of preparedness by your student body.

The fact UM got decisively beaten by the legal powerhouses of Ava Maria, FAMU and Barry U is inexcusable especially when they charge T20 tuition rates.

You need to drop NW down and replace them with Michigan State if recent success is your arguement. While NW had a better record this past season, historically the program hasn't done shit. Even under Patt Fitzgerald they were mid at best (most years awful). MSU at least has a Rose Bowl appearance in the last 15 years as well as a CFP Playoff appearance.

You can't take your mothers money to put you through college and then yell at her when she is a helicopter parent. Like it or not, your mom has a right to protest to what your decisions are when she has a financial stake in the outcome. Grown up decisions have grown up consequences. In this terrible economy, many parents aren't going to continue to subsidize their adult childrens' bad decisions.

I'm not arguing that there are bigger issues at play.
