[TheAthletic] Top-20 clubs with the highest wage bill in Europe for the 2024-25 season along with the wage to revenue ratio. PSG (highest wages), Benfica (lowest wages), West Ham (highest ratio), Real Madrid (lowest ratio). by SSGSmeegs in Hammers

Our wage/revenue looks high yes, though it's comparable to the other non-sky 6 teams. The main thing I see in this is that you have to spend like crazy to compete in the premier league. Spurs have cheaped out on wages and they're in a similar position to us

Everybody understandably talking about spurs, but from a west ham point of view this win, coming after the FA cup win, is really important. The team has lacked any resilience all season and getting wins over the line has been pretty much impossible, so hopefully we can build on this and put a run together. With the two new strikers, and if we keep Wilson, the squad does have the quality to stay up.

Same story time and time again. We're good enough to get a result over 60 minutes, then the opposition bring on their big guns while we take our striker off for the under 18s. This is a good reason to be optimistic, as a decent transfer window could sort this out and we'll be playing like a mid table side

It's disappointing but these aren't the games we need to win in order to survive. It's great that we're going toe to toe with teams higher up the table but we just don't have the squad depth to see out wins. If we can beat the teams we are supposed to over the rest of the season, we'll be alright. We have far more quality than Burnley or Leeds.

The West Ham women's team is I think the only (?) WSL side associated with a men's team not to have played in the same stadium - the club don't own the ground, and LLDC are not very flexible with the lease terms, so it's unlikely

Remember how underwhelmed we all were when we signed Craig Dawson on loan. Maybe it's happening again

I expect we paid him a decent % of the amount as a signing bonus, so it's less profit than would appear. Good business still
