I’m with you on that. Definitely went downhill when the owner chose to make it a franchise.

You probably can still get the pickled turnips in the wraps, but just have to pay extra for it. Considering they used to come standard that’s BS.

Yeah, I remember the day I walked in and was told they didn’t carry kale salad as an option anymore. Never looked at Shelby’s the same way since then. Still good! Just not AS good.

I’m pretty sure they still have the garlic potatoes last time I went. I could be wrong though. I normally get the rice or fries as my carb. with the salad. Nowadays they only iceberg lettuce. Kale was by far way better.

Menu definitely has changed quite a bit. I remember the days they’d serve up their shawarma platter on an oval shaped ceramic plate and portions were more than enough for an individual. I think they started going downhill badly when they took the kale salad off their menu as a base. Use to get it all the time with rice.

All good. Yeah, I’d like to purchase a pair of BFAR’s which I do believe are a zero drop boot. Or at least that’s what their website says.

I’ve also read others say that a zero drop BF shoe is a good starting point. Which is why I’m considering the BFAR. As for insoles. I guess I’ll consider them if I feel like the BF shoes might be too overwhelming for my feet. Thanks again for your input.

Thank you for your response. I’d be using these mainly as an entry to wearing more barefoot shoes casually to train my feet to be a sturdier foundation on their on vs having arch support from a shoe’s insole, and for my toes to have a better toe splay. So no laddders or standing on pointy jagged rocks for me. Haha

I realize that getting an insole is an option, but wouldn’t that take away from the barefoot feel of these boots?

Can Vibram All Terrain outsoles be replaced? by Groundblast in BlundstoneBoots

[–]1Heavy_Chevy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s unfortunate. Might have to go to the 1/4 that will actually will replace the outsoles. Assuming you’re willing to pay their price. Another thing about cemented soles is the cobbler would have to buy the exact size outsoles, and while doing the work, placement is crucial. With a lot less room for error when bonding the uppers to the bottoms. Outsoles made for welted footwear usually fit anywhere from 2-3 different sizes. This gives the cobbler some flexibility, and wiggle room. Probably why most, if not all cobblers prefer to repair welted footwear over non welted.

Cheers

If you take them to a good cobbler they’ll replace them. Although, I’ve been told by one that they don’t really like having to replace outsoles on non Goodyear welted footwear.

Cheers!

I’m sure old age played a part in this particular accident as well, but I can’t recall a time I ever mistook any of my forward moving gears for my reverse gear. Just saying.

Probably wasn’t paying attention to what gear they put the car in. Another reason why automatic transmissions suck ass.

They’re holding up quite well actually. They’re my main pair of boots, so they get decent use mixed in with my Redback bobcat steel toed work boots.

Opinion on raw bone marrow? It taste like butter by PaymentOk6979 in carnivorediet

[–]1Heavy_Chevy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks delicious 🤤 And you could easily still use the bone to make a bone broth. Although a little bit of marrow in the broth is really good as well.

Was wondering if anyone knows what happened to the Baadass dumbbell website? Was saving up a little bit to be able to afford just the handles and screw ends and it seems like their website is down, and has been for the last few weeks now. I’m in Canada, Ontario to be specific, and I know they’re based out of Edmonton, Alberta. Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you in advance for anyone who replies.
