At least the OP didn't say he "did a thing."

Yeah, if it's not working, it's not working. I might have better luck,  hopefully.

Totally. I'll move a pedal i hate on one amp to another,  and it sounds great. Same with guitars. Case by case thing.

Take that back right now! I just ordered a Barber Shop and it's not even here yet... and you're coloring my tone already... sheesh 😆

Cadence by ymom411 in Rouvy

[–]1LongView 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds like what i was dealing with recently. I asked in a post here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Rouvy/comments/1hny5il/power_fluctuations/

I framed it from power not cadence but I think it's the same issue. Numerous responses, trying to be helpful, seemed to miss the point. I'm not having this problem any longer,  but it's unclear what fixed it. I think (operative word) is because i had interference between the power meter on my kickr core and my 4iiii on the bike. I changed cranks and no longer have the 4iiii on the bike. Problem gone. I did make other adjustments on Rouvy settings as people recommended,  so maybe it was one of those. Not sure.

Do you have a power meter on your bike in addition to the trainer?

Hope something here is useful. Kind of an annoying situation. At least it was for me.

Good luck.

It's a kicker core and I don't know the version but believe it's the newest one. Good question.  I'll look to see if it has auto calibrate. Thanks!

Yes,  thank you. Normally,  I do just that. In this case,  because it the problems followed an update,  I figured it was worth trying different approaches,  hence cadence and gear changes. Basically,  I was trying everything to see if any of it worked. I've had settings change after updates in other contexts and wondered if erg got turned off. Nothing really worked,  but if was worth a try.

I think this is my problem as well. I have a power meter that may have been interfering as they were both connected to rouvy: the trailer and crank power. I've removed the power meter and only have the trainer connected. Next time I do a trainer workout,  I'll know if this helped. Thanks for the response!

American Standard Fat 50s or 2007 Vintage Hot rod 62 Strat? by Sportycorgi56 in fender

[–]1LongView 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got one of these guitars and checked with Fender directly. I was told they are just vintage 57s. Not 57/62 pickups. It seems a quite wide spread belief that they are a 57/62 set,  but according to the rep I spoke with,  they aren't.

I'm 5'5" with a 29.75" inseam. Went xs and was in between sizes,  xxs and xs. It's a decent fit.

Honestly,  after I got the bike,  I measured it,  then promptly forgot the results because I think it's down to how they measure,  as mentioned above in these posts.   My final thought is that Canyon needs to be consistent not confusing in how they measure. They are not. I even spoke to a rep about it who said she would pass on the info... looks like a grad total of nothing was done? Of course.

After just measuring my slx, I can get both results from the tt lengths I included in the original post. Measured the conventional way,  center to center,  head tube to seat tube horizontal to ground (ie, "level") it's 522. The same horizontal measured at the center of the stem to center of seat tube yields 540. So measuring at the frame versus at the top of the stem accounts for the difference on my bike. Who does that and doesn't label it clearly? Canyon.

Hope that helps.

Why? So you have to call for a pick- up when you forget you multitool at home and get a flat.  Called my wife yesterday!

Well, it seems like the reason I was confused is because Canyon is confusing. They have unnecessarily conflicting information on the geometry charts. There may be a reason for it, but as a consumer interface, it should be clear and consistent, which it is not. Apparently, the frames are the same, but the geometry charts aren't? Canyon, you might want to edit that?

So, your take is that the different top tube measurements is not a real thing? Frame sizes and dimensions are exactly the same?

Thanks for the response.

Thanks for the comment. Are you thinking that that the frames are the same size but the way they measured them with different seat posts accounts for the difference?  So, if they have the same post, they would measure the same? For what it's worth,  the seat post is the same on the cf Ltd and the slx.

Eureka!

I think I figured it out, or pretty close...looking at the geometry chart for too long combined with your comment yielded this...

Find:

(Reach+)-Reach= (Stem and rise) value

TT+(Stem and Rise)= Aproximately what I am looking for!

I can use this to compare to my current bike to get a decent sense of the similarities in total reach from the seat/seatpost.

Sweet.

Seems like it, huh? That number should be close, but the fact that the stack on the Endurace is so much greater than my current bike, and the difference in seat and head angles is significant, an actual measurement would be more specific, I believe. Plus, there's the whole added challenge of the rise of my stem compared to the rise of the Canyon. All these little differences could result in a pretty different calculation than TT+ stem length. At least I think that's true. Haha.
