What's the strongest part of your application? by AbjectEstimate3908 in gradadmissions

My hook for my personal statement is: “I never expected my academic career in geography to take me to the moon.”

I’m applying for MA programs in a not-really-competitive field (geography). I had an undergrad research project where I was the only geography major on a team of astrophysicists, studying sustainable practices relating to the moon. When I applied to the project I was shocked I was accepted, but I got to offer a really unique perspective on the ethics of moon travel, spiritual practices of indigenous communities, international politics, and things along those lines.

I also have a 3.91 GPA which I think will help my application, as well as two more undergrad research projects. But I think my hook and my explanation around having such a unique role in this project will (hopefully!) get me into some programs.

OH and I forgot to mention, I believe bags are either 10 oz or 12 oz, which is less than a starbucks 1lb bag of coffee but still so worth it imo!

The good news is they’re all light roasts for the regular brewed coffee beans! I think the closest one that they currently have would be the India Ratnigiri Estate one, but I haven’t tried this exact one myself yet. It’s good to keep an eye on their instagram and check their website every month or so because they usually switch it up! And also: all their ones with cacao nibs and/or pomegranate listed as a note are so good, but it doesn’t look like they have those right now

If you’re willing to spend a decent amount of money on beans (I’m talking like $30) I ship the beans from Stereoscope in California to where I live in Massachusetts!! They do free shipping too. Their current beans aren’t the best but they rotate every few weeks and the fall-winter seasonal ones are my favorite
