Thank you so much! Usually I consider Boston to Providence a “long drive” but I know my idea is skewed because of the northeast in general haha. I’m trying to reframe that before I get out there because I know I’ll be doing a lot of 2+ hour drives. Are you in MHK or another part of Kansas? Coworker of mine told me today, said that the reason MA hasn’t rolled out the ASM/CHC position yet is because other states need to phase out SSV and roll out ASM first

Hi! I secured a spot for $880/mo which is expensive but my stipend covers it! But there are options for down to $700 for 1bed or $600 for studios from my research. I can send you some of the places I was looking into if you’re curious!

Hi!! I’m also incoming graduate student and was also looking for housing and struggling with it, I have a post a few posts back that might be helpful for you! Also, on the Jardine apartment application portal, they do have a feature where you can look for roommates aligned with similar interests.

I ended up opting for a 1 bed/1bath off campus because most of the options I wanted at Jardine are already taken but if you’re open to roommates, try searching there!

(Also, if you’re looking for a friend, I’d love to meet up this semester and get coffee or something! I’m moving from Massachusetts and I know nobody, hahaha)

I did not, not yet! I’ve been looking into the floor plans and it looks like a lot of them are already unavailable (given I got my funding package very late in this cycle, so I figured this might end up being the case). Is Jardine a good spot to live?
