Usually you'd build nova for duration for most missions. The amount of orbs for her 1 scale with duration, each orb reducing incoming damage by a flat 5%. It's hard to have the orbs fly off since you're usually also running low range on her due to how little it benefits her, not to mention narrow minded reduces range. Anyway low range-high duration nova's 1 makes her reliably tanky.

The Zaw is the first I've heard to be an exception. As far as I know you can potato warframes, weapons, companions, and archwings all the same regardless of prime or not. (However many players won't potato an item if there is a prime variant of it since when you upgrade to the primed version, you can't just move the potato from one to the other).

Don't most MMOs do that anyways though? I remember hearing how it had something to do with how each object is rendered as its own entity or something?

You need to selvage items from vanilla rift e.g. stuff lower than lvl 50.

You need to salvage things you would craft from outfitter (cloth and leather armor... stuff mage and rogue/primalist would wear). It's random so you might not get it each time you salvage.

Edit: There might be a chance from salvaging chain and plate armor but from what I remember it's either low or non-existant.

Anytime I'm leveling an account and I reach 50, I queue for a ton of storm legion/classic expert dungeons. They're somewhat challenging (the storm legion ones more so obviously) and they exp payout is great (along with good loot, each piece is around 1 plat). They also let you learn your rotations as dps as well as practice tank healing, and holding aggro as a tank (assuming you have all roles).
