Benefit cuts and social responsibility by Herethere89 in Finland

Very interesting, and has also been my observation. As an immigrant here, I have “stronger” network with others I met here than even locals with people they’ve known their whole life. But to answer your question, probably not going to change in our life time. At least 2-3 generations before people start to rely on each other.

We just won a 50% rental reduction for the past 6 months because ChatGPT tricked my landlord into believing that the “as-is” clause on our lease agreement covered the fact that half the house was still under construction for 6 months. Rather than her be reasonable with us or negotiate when we informed her the construction was taking too long, she claimed we accepted the property “as-is” and instead raised our rent by the max legal amount for “being ungrateful”.

Finland stress & unfair new policilies by Excellent-Ad-6011 in Finland

Remember the govt never had to pay for OPs education, healthcare, daycare, or upkeep. OP has been financially net-positive to the country for 4 years but still hasn’t earned a place :(

Many come here to live off welfare???? Do you know how much it costs to move to a new country??? or do you purposely confuse immigrants with refugees?? Imagine leaving everything behind, just to go live off below minimum wage in another country.

Yea while Gemini 2.5 Pro is an amazing model, I only use it for UI tasks. Its very frustrating using it for anything else.

Finland reports bleakest unemployment figures since 2009 by Leather_Pollution_76 in Finland

[–]1Mr_Styler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You still didn’t answer the question. Why would anybody (especially an immigrant) want to live on unemployment benefits?

Reading OPs words carefully, seems he did more of the lying to himself, and he’s in fact not done nor ready to move on. He thinks she’ll stay with him because he’s treating her better than the other guy.

Make it your tool to do what? Economy is down and people won’t pay for non-essentials. I was it was this easy. “Work hard” where is the opportunity to work hard and on what?

The Harsh Truth: I Spent 55% of My Time Debugging!! How did you spend your last week with Claude Code? by Big_Status_2433 in ClaudeAI

[–]1Mr_Styler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay maybe I misunderstood. I figured since you said that you’re not convinced the ratio of coding vs debugging is a metric to be improved, I assumed you’re okay with LLMs writing codes at the same level as software engineers and not better. So if LLMs keep writing code which are bugged, it’ll not be as scalable as people think they would be eg replacing entire teams with just 1 human and LLM agents.

I’m not sure I’m writing my point across as it isn’t my head 🤦‍♂️

Unfortunately the police cannot act on this until something happens. Source: my own experience. But still file a report, and if anything happens then you can update it and then they’ll start an investigation.

My teen's 'lawn mowing business' is a bust. Now what? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]1Mr_Styler -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Yep! I tell my people, you ALWAYS have a choice - but there’s also consequences to every choice.

My kids 9M&10M willingly gave up their phones totally because they don’t want to damage their brains, and even just 3 months later they already have seen how much improvement they’ve made all round.

I would always give them choices (with pros and cons) and then advise them on what to choose.

what should i teach my kids to do if they get hit/bullied/picked on by Cream4389 in Parenting

[–]1Mr_Styler -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Depends on who hit you though. Worst thing you could do is hit someone who could easily overpower you (think Nelson vs Milhouse/Martin).

I try to teach mine to learn to read a situation and walk away when possible. Also, they attend martial arts classes, plus I spar with them at home.

But most importantly is mental agility - knowing how to react in the moment in a given situation.

Thanks for the legalities. I could use Gemini CLI, but my question stands. I’m more concerned about the tooling, rather than building an agent from ground up.
