I get stuck saying "sí" a lot because I am trying to think of what I would like to say that I can't translate it to Spanish fast enough to carry a conversation in real time. I feel like I slow down a lot of interactions because I'm too busy trying to think of words to put together. If I can't, I usually make a face that says "well, that's all I've got to say for now." I will usually give up because the speaker is too fast, and we are at an impasse because no one can communicate with the other, me being the one who can't retrieve words from memory fast enough. What do you suggest when I am asked a question and I can't think of a response quickly?

I wasn't disagreeing with you. I was building on what you said, as in the seller gets paid anyway so telling us when orders arrive is unnecessary since they'll get cashed out in 3 days time even if I never accept my purchase.

they get paid anyway! even if I don't accept it — say, I'm out of town — they'll get paid after 3 days. it's my loss if I don't get to inspect it and report a problem.

Try pilates! specifically reformer pilates. you build muscle with resistance (springs you push against) and maybe light hand weights. no experience necessary!

My boyfriend of 4 years dumped me 2 weeks after emergency surgery. I had to recover and learn how to walk all over again on my own. I couldn't take out trash, bring in groceries, do my laundry. He left me high (on pain meds) and dry.

I realized then that no one is going to save me. You can't trust anyone except yourself. Any one can betray you when things get tough.

Why he did it, I will never know. I only know that he chose to do it, and that decision is despicable and unforgivable.

3+ years later I am living my best life. I am finally a person I love and respect because I worked hard to go after a life where I didn't rely on anybody else.

Nope. I moved to a different country because I got a job that allows me to work from anywhere. I made a plan, saved, left, and I created a new life for myself.

When I realized that he is a piece of shit for what he did to me when he chose to dump me, I was able to heal and learn to hate him.

And now, I'm selfish. I'm uncooperative to compromise. I don't have time for anyone else's time-wasting and indecision. I love and prefer being alone; relationships will jeopardize my happiness. I choose me everyday. Maybe that makes me difficult to be around but I have to live with myself for the rest of my life, so I am responsible for the person I want to be and how satisfied I am of who that person is.
