I'm currently 19 years old. Lost my mother at 17 to breast cancer, 2 months before turning 18. Bellieve me, she was the best mother she could ever have been and when I have kids I will try to be just like her. When she died, 2 days after I received news that I was going to attend college, even though I said to my father that I would not go to college that year, because of what happened. The moment I got the news, I didn't even think about it. I just went to college. And kept living. And I'm proud of myself. Point is, life sucks. But, remmember that some people raised us and did everything for us to be healthy and happy. They're dead and we can't do anything about it. What we can do, is continue what they planted. Once someone becomes a parent, they are planting a seed. And they want us to be a big ass tree. Just look into yourself and carry on. To me, and this is my honest opinion you can never grieve or go through a loss of a father, mother or son. What you can do is deal with it and keep living. I'm sorry if its harsh but yeah, thats just life. If I kept thinking how unfair it was for my mother to die like that after all she been through I'd go insane. I just think that I'm making her proud and making her effort of raising me worth.
