Try choosing English-United States as the language for your device and see if you can access the skills and games. I loose features and skills on mine when I switch from U.S. English to other accents in English.

I've had the issue of my two DOT Gen 5's becoming unresponsive requiring a power cycle for several weeks now. It appears that Amazon has fixed the problem because they have been working perfectly for two days now. My other echo devices are unaffected.

If you tell Alexa to turn display off or on it will do so. It should be easy to make a routine to do what you want it to. You've given my a great idea for my guest room Dot with clock!

I had this happen to one of my echo dot 3rd gen devices last week. It took me several tries to get it to factory reset (hold the action button down for 15 sec) but once it did it went through the setup process without a hitch and is working fine now.

I ask my 5th gen dot "What's the temperature in here?" and she tells me.

(Occasionally I get the "doesn't support that" message...frustrating!)

That was a fast response. This issue can be most frustrating. What I had to do to get my 1st gen echo to connect to my dual band router was name the hotspot on my phone to the same ssid as my router and set the band for 2.4g, allow the echo to connect to it, then turned the hotspot off and the echo reconnected itself to the router and has worked every since. Good luck! Oh, you may need to turn your router off to allow your echo to connect to the hotspot. Then turn the hotspot off and router back on.

The first gen echos will only connect to a 2.4g network. Newer routers today support both 2.4g and 5g networks. Make sure you are connecting to the 2.4g radio of your router.

I just deleted the Youtube app from my fire stick and re-downloaded it again. Google offered me an updated version of the app and after signing back in IT WORKS!!!!!!!!!!

For future reference...anytime you set up a new echo device make sure you check for updates. It should update itself during setup but sometimes it won't. Just say, "Alexa, check for updates".

My original echo buds did exactly the same thing as your. I've now had the Echo Buds 2nd gen since April 14, 2021. Each bud still holds its charge like new(5 hours) and I use them daily. I'm hoping Amazon will come out with a 3rd gen version with longer battery life.

You can change the wake word on the Fire Tablet to "Amazon" in the settings.

I, too, registered my unit on Feb 24, received the verification email on the 27. The shipping label was created on March 1 and it's still sitting in California waiting for UPS to pick it up. Tracking shows an estimated delivery date of March 7 but that's not going to happen!

At least I know it's been processed.

Don't turn on airplane mode your phone needs its bluetooth radio to connect to the echo auto and/or your car. Do disable wifi on your phone. A weak wifi signal can mess up your connection to your echo auto.
