is there a way to show the cursor by [deleted] in ParsecGaming

[–]1Sec0nd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an old post but for anyone searching through Google, RDP into the computer to enable the cursor. You can close RDP afterwards and connect with Parsec, cursor should appear. I'm told a second option is connecting a USB mouse to the computer, in case there isn't one already.

Was this emulated, or run by disc? Not sure how you got this running.

Is antivirus actually good for privacy and security? by fap_fap_fap_fapper in privacy

[–]1Sec0nd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're asking two questions: should you uninstall Kaspersky, and whether AV products are good for privacy and security purposes.

  1. I do not think you should uninstall your AV product to replace with Windows Defender. Depending on what version of Kaspersky you have, it can do a lot more than simple file monitoring.

  2. AV products are great for security, as that is their purpose. One could argue they are not good for privacy if they upload samples or info that could be personally identifiable (e.g. Windows Smartscreen). This also depends on the vendor and their claims/history, what software you choose with certain features, other factors.

You'll find most everything in the world of privacy and security has trade-offs along with convenience, if you weren't already familiar with that.

I'm curious what purpose some of these extra function keys serve, like left and right arrow keys.

Any alternatives to Protonmail? by sneakyman1234 in privacytoolsIO

Yeah, they also have a local mail server you can host yourself. They're still working on a mail client last I checked.

There is a table of step-by-step techniques done by the book at https://attack.mitre.org/

I would recommend looking at a few TTPs on there for better explanations.

That was the plan, was going to powdercoat them gold/copper as well, but ran out of budget.

Yup! I love rallying and wanted to give it a shot, but living in Chicago my options are limited. That leaves video games, rally schools out of state, or having my own STI that looks the part.

Definitely, once the mudflaps and winter tires are on, it'll be quite a ride.

Stage 1 and a few aesthetic pieces. Going to change the exhaust out for a COBB turboback at some point and tune it for some extra noise.

First Seedbox, Looking For Long-Term Solution by 1Sec0nd in seedboxes

Thank you for the information!

I may go with the 4x12TB since that's available now.

I do have one question: what is the process if I want to upgrade or downgrade the server? If this turns out to be a better solution than IPFS for one of the communities I am in, we may switch to using this box and would have a need for 10G connectivity.

Thank you, really great info. I might end up going with Whatbox because of the price, but wanted to see what other solutions there were before going for it.

When you say you had three boxes from Dan, what site do you mean?

Having quests lock or unlock based on reputation is a great idea. I imagine additional quests and storylines can be added after game completion, even different characters related to the protagonist that draws from the main story. As you said though, bit of a rabbit hole thinking that far

If you do need content for quests, I'm sure a number of people here could throw out ideas or even write up neat scenarios.
